      Hi Ruth,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding your LV = 50 Plus Plan.

This merchant has a 6 month validation period from the date of the inception of the policy, and I have pasted the original warning from the merchant's page at the time of purchase below for your information:

"Please note that your transaction will be validated after six months (from the policy start date).

*Enquiries cannot be raised until 6 months after the transaction date*."

Assuming your policy started during the same month as the purchase, then you can expect it to validate during October.

As regards payment, at this moment in time we have no agreements with merchants for guaranteed payment times. However, for this type of transaction you can normally expect to receive payment within three months of the validation date. This can happen sooner and, unfortunately, it can sometimes take longer. However, if payment is not received three months after validation, we start to chase up with the network and continue to do so until payment is received.

I hope I have clarified the situation for you.

      Kind regards

I think the adverts very missleading saying 6 months to validate ( which my policys been running over 6 months ) which then may take another say 3 months to pay out . I think this should be brought to the attention of all members. If members knew it likely to be at the very least 9 months they may not use the service when other cashback compaines pay out in 6 moths.

      Hi Ruth,

The agreement between Quidco and LV is that they have a 6 month validation period. This is in place to prevent abuse and fraud. What other cashback sites do is not something we would comment on. We take abuse very seriously and take all steps necessary to protect our members and our merchants. The 6 months from your purchase (tracking) date is up on 2 October but I realise this may not be the inception date of your policy. Validation will not take place until 6 months form the inception date of your policy.

I am sorry if this is not the response you would have liked, but we do not feel the advert is misleading. Once the policy is validated and we subsequently get paid by LV, your payment will be passed on to you.

      Kind regards

My policy number is 04004991-0001-5c Taken out and paided on the 2nd april 2009.
      apri 1st month
      may 2nd month
      june 3rd month
      july 4th month
      august 5th month

Lke i say very missleading if its 6 month you should now be tracking and getting payment.

I am glad you mentioned abuse and fraud , I will look into this part.

If you would like me to send my policy and a calender so you can see the months had up to 6 please tell me.

So is the Vaidation 6 months because if thats the case its late.
Or if its 7 months its missleading .

I await your reply before i post all my details on the MSE blog . with FACTS AND Figuires to back them all up.
      Thanks Jules

      Hi Ruth,

The 6 months is up on 2nd October as below:

      2.4.09 - 2.5.09 = 1 month
      2.5.09 - 2.6.09 = 2 months
      2.6.09 - 2.7.09 = 3 months
      2.7.09 - 2.8.09 = 4 months
      2.8.09 - 2.9.09 = 5 months
      2.9.09 - 2.10.09 = 6 months

The 6 month validation period will be up on 2.10.09. After that date, if the policy is valid, LV will validate it.

I am unsure why you would post this on MSE, but of course you are free to do so. This is the process and the validation period was clearly stated in the Merchant Warning Box when you opted to purchase this product through Quidco for your £90 cashback.

Once the 6 months is up, as I say, this will be validated if it is deemed to be a valid claim by the merchant and the merchant's affiliate network. This could happen any time during the month of October.

      Kind regards

Please note that your transaction will be validated after six months (from the policy start date).

This is not correct START DATE OF POLICY 2ND APRIL 2009. POLICY NO : 04004991-0001-5C.

Missleading advert , NOT VALIDATED .

Maybe i should pass this information to the advertising standards,

Quidco are now telling lies read above they say :
This merchant has a 6 month validation period from the date of the inception of the policy, and I have pasted the original warning from the merchant's page at the time of purchase below for your information:

Inception of poicy 2nd April 2009 6 month 2nd September.

    7th month 2nd October.

STAY AWAY FROM THis COMPANY . DONOT TRUST THEM

    Back to My Tickets

sorry but they are right, 2nd of April to 2nd of September is only 5 months!!!! 6 months isn't up until October...
  • Ive just had enough of quidco completely now. The last 4 transactions i have done over the last month have just not tracked and i keep having to go through the sodding process of opening a ticket(once after 28 days!) and then waiting for whatever period for it to finally track..

I know i am not as well versed as many of you on here but i think i know what is right and whats wrong.

Every time you put the television on or radio we hear that fine fellow Martin Lewis speaking up for the little man in the street. He started one campaign to have the bank charges returned to the customer by trying to moderate with the banks etc. When this did not work he wrote to the Mp in the House of Commons and now hes writing to the head of the parties to try and get them to chance the law to get the little man or woman in the street there bank charges back which will be many many millions of pounds..

Hes opened this great MSE to bring help to all to save money and not be ripped off .

The idea of people using cashback companies are to save money so when this does not happen they come on here and tell there story in hope that they will get there money or warn other whats happening behind close doors..

Now peoples events are being deleted from this forum .

We know that quidco have had big problems and taken over 2 years to payout on the cashbacks. Even this week we find out on here that the completions they run the winners have not received there prices . Quidco said at first they were awaiting the winners getting back to them . ( mm i ve just had a email from Quidco to say Ive won a lap top Oh mmm I will reply in the next couple of months ).

Then we have a member on here saying they have won ,they have emailed quidco and open tickets weeks ago about the prize and got no answers.

Who are we to know lots of people may have said this and maybe for what ever reason it got deleted.

Now Quidco say the prize is with a outside company aptly named BE THERE well there not there with the prise for the winners.

You have a saying could not run a p up in a brewery .

Quidco cannot even run one of there own completions and get it right so what chance have they of getting members cashback to them

and also those who cant count the months between a start date and 6 months.

Indeed. I've found TCB to be, by far, the better of the two sites. I mean, the very fact that their revinue comes only from the percentage of people they refer and not from a membership fee, plus they manage to somehow add upto 10% if you use them each month... I mean, that's got to say something about their commitment to the customer, no? Even if they're in it just to make cash, they're still making life easier for their members 'cause we actually get the advertised amount, in full and in a timely mannor; something Quidco seem to have no idea how to do!

Incidentally, there was a post a couple of days ago I didn't have time to reply to. Someone had posted a list of items they hadn't yet been paid. S/he wondered if s/he was being paranoid. What happened to that post? Did the poster remove it or was it removed? Not trying to make waves, but when posts suddenly vanish, I get paranoid! ;)

Just a quick question to ask if anyone else's Co-op Car Insurance has moved to received? Just checked my account and it's finally there.

But, being Quidco, they can't do anything without doing something wrong; a cashback from eBay for 40% of eBay's revinue off £186.00 spend has been paid at just over £2 when it should have been just south of £8.00. I'd open a ticket, but it'll get ignored or I'll have to try and get through to the people who feign (or not!) ignorance.

No Quidco problems for me, all my queries have been resolved and cashback paid.

I also see they're now sending "tracking receipts" by email after a transaction to confirm tracking.

I personally don't see the point in that; how hard is it to log in to your account and check it? It seems to me that Quidco are adding useless features in order to cover the up the rest of their uselss service! :rotfl:
