  • Happy Birthday Kaatlady & Gingham.

Mummysaver DD saw that play with a group of friends many years ago. It was doing the rounds then & yes it's 2 Aussie blokes. Unfortunately I couldn't go the night it was on. But they had a ball and said it was hilarious. She has the book too. :D It's in my bookcase somewhere. Aren't we just world trendsetters.

    Meanmarie That's awful.
NPM Hope it doesn't turn nasty.

Sleep well. I'm about to put my washing out. Blue skies, not a cloud in sight. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Hi Chums yes it was Graham Kerr, born in London, but spent a lot of time in New Zealand.Great fun to watch as he was so enthuusiastic and full of life.Apparently still working, although 75 in Seattle at the University there.
I only ever sent my husband out once for food ,never again.I hadn't long come home from hospital after the birth of our eldest DD and asked him to get a few bits for me as it was freezing cold and I didn't want to take her out (mid January 1968)he came home with smoked salmon a bottle of Champagne and chocolates.None of which were anywhere on my list and we had to live on egg & chips for a week afterwards as he had blown all of my housekeeping. Bless him, he said I deserved it as our little girl was so beautiful and I had a rotten labour and he thought it would cheer me up. How can you nag a man who does something so nice :) mind you he never got his hands on my housekeeping again afterwards.I did the shopping from then onwards for the next 35 years.
My DD seemed to do well at both of her interviews today and she has been asked for second one's next week at both jobs, so hopefully something will materialise for her. She bought me lunch out as I had taken her in my car so she wouldn't get stressed out and flustered. All in all a good day.Tomorrow I'm off to canterbury as I have to put some forms into the Uni there for my second year which starts at the end of this month ,then I'm off to my sis-in-laws in Faversham for a coffee afterwards.
Hope everyone had a good day, another week has almost whizzed by, where is the time going to.
    Night all JackieO xx
