  • Evening

Well I don't know about where you are but my fingers and toes are really chilly this evening, trying to hold out with the heating but can't see us lasting until October at this rate!

Busy day today, quite stressful workwise too. Also worrying about the car - we are still waiting to here from the garage to see if our repairs are covered under warranty, can't believe we have only had it 3 weeks and we may have to fork out in excess of £1000! We are supposed to be going off in the caravan this weekend and have already paid the site but not sure if we will have the car back in time!

Happy birthday to those celebrating today - sorry brain must be asleep, I can't seem to remember what I have read on the thread although I have only just read it:eek:

So have a good evening all, I think I better go back to the beginning and read it all again:rotfl:

Thanks for the information as I thought it was only up north so far.

My thanks button won't work and keeps telling me I am not allowed to use it.

DDs enjoyed the shepherds pie tonight and I think we have found a kitchen we like in the sales so feel as if we are getting things done.

  • Late on again today due to work. An interesting job today, so made the day go a bit quicker.

Fairyelephant, glad to hear everything is progressing well with the pregnancy.

Interesting discussion today on here about puppetry of the penis!!! Have heard of it before and heard its a fab show. How on earth do you discover you can make all these shapes with it in the first place is what I want to know! :rotfl:

OS - ummmm, have put washing machine on today, that is literally about it. I even have to confess to giving the children ready meals for tea - please don't throw me off the board!!!! In my defence, they were half price, and meat dishes (I am vegetarian and don't cook meat), and DD had swimming so had to eat straight from school to get it down in time, and DS had to eat his whilst I was taking DD swimming. Last week I cooked something they could reheat, but wasn't quite that organised this week!

Feel better for confessing that. :D Think OS will be a bit thin on the ground til Saturday when I'm next off, but I promise to make up for it then.
  • Evening all

I'm back from my 2nd day of my course in Cardiff. Earlier finish today so not as bad. Still glad to have dinner all ready in fridge though - cheese&potato pie and beans, leftovers from monday.

I had 2 bits of nice news today. My firend had a baby boy early this morning, after being in labour since Sat! And another friend is coming to visit me this weekend :)

I haven't done anything OS really today, except eat my leftovers!

    I am back

been ages since I've posted on the daily, still try to do all me things, not done takaway or going to pub for tea for agessssssss, we have some time off in Oct and going to visit my family and OH's brother who lives just outside Amsterdam so are saving like mad. As we are visting my family down south before going to netherlands we are going through the tunnel and like the good osers we are have used our tesco vouchers to pay for it :j

In the meantine I have become a granny again, Imani Rose was born on the 9/9 we are making a flying visit next Sunday to see them all.

I do read the daily every day and would like to respond and reply to it, but sadly life takes over  been a hectic time at work with our company taking over 2 others in the last few months, more work for us, same money  but thats the way it is nowadays isn't it.

Love reading what eveyone has been up to and the posts inspire me to do things that perhaps I wouldn't otherwise.

(((hugs)) for those that need or want one, actually, hugs for everyone, you inspire and cheer me, when I have bad days, I just need to read the daily and it lifts me (also makes me get me a@@se into gear and get something done!

    thanks a lot you guys

Is there any where on here where I might find a list of abbreviations (see stupid post last night where I realised OS stood for Old style after posting to ask what it meant)

Hi nannyboo - you will find the abbreviations HERE (hopefully:D)

Edit: it is now £13.50 on Amazon -very annoying because I paid £18.99. I've emailed my annoyance to Amazon customer services:mad:
Well that was worth doing. Here's what they say

I recognise you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you prefer to order from us. Please note that we do not extend a post-order price guarantee.

I've reviewed your order and see that the price change was significant and you just received this item from us.

Under the circumstances, I'll make a one-time exception for you and issue a refund for the price difference in the amount of 5.49 GBP.

Please understand that I'm issuing this refund because of the exceptional circumstances, and I'm doing this for you against our standard policy.

    I'm happy:j

Hope that you have both had a happy birthday to-day Kaatlady and Gingham Ribbon.....would be nice to see you both posting again:bdaycake::bdaycake:

Just didn't get on to-day as persuaded OH to come blackberry picking, we got 4 pounds, still have to decide what to do with them. Washing on line and 4 corpses disposed of....N9eav, think I will need your help if the cats don't get themselves in line soon!

Was sad to see a rabbit with myxamotosis (??) out the field, thought that it had died out but apparently not.

Dinner was a frugal one with minced pork and rice....sorta Thai flavour, worked out well, we all enjoyed it.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, welcome to newbies, sleep well all
