Yikes.... curiousity got the better of me and I googled it.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Look at what it says other people who bought this book bought.:eek::eek::eek:
What a surprise....They're Aussies. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Me and oh went to see the show on Saturday, surprisingly it was his idea:D There were two Aussies (not sure whether related to our very own Aussie
) and they were truly hilarious! Yes bitsybeans, it is origami with the willy! Or as they liked to refer to it "installation art"!!!! We saw versions of the Loch Ness monster, windsurfers, turtles, the Eiffel Tower and so much more
oh was most put out that the book had sold out at the show, he kept asking why all those women would need it  So the first thing I had to do when we got home was order a copy for him, and others as pressies for Christmas for his mates - please all think of me when the New Year parties are in full swing :eek::eek:
The funniest thing was that after we arrived home and I'd done the ordering, I was brushing my teeth when the bathroom door burst open to reveal oh proudly demonstrating his ability to recreate a burger in a bun :rolleyes: Reader, I screamed!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:As my friends have pointed out, I have truly met my match! Anyway if you should get the opportunity to go and see it, then grab a group of friends and get those tickets, it was a really good night out!
To keep this at least a bit OS (though oh now being able to create our own entertainment for free must count as vaguely OS) I have dug out the ice cream bowl and popped it into the freezer, put the brisket in the SC, put washing in the machine and pegged out other load, and cleaned the kids bathroom, also made another pot of coffee and given up with the idea of sleep!

:eek::eek::eek: You have swinging parties???;)
My OH would love that book but I would spend most of my time having to convince him that his Eiffel tower was bigger than the one in the book.:rotfl:
Reverbe... if you have a printer you could print off the pms from martin and then you would have a hard copy to treasure forever.0 -
Morning peeps
very blustery outside this morning, i walked the houndies earlier and we almost got blown down the hill, the good thing about it is that my washing should dry quickly.
I`m having a relaxing cuppa and a break from destalking all the elderberries that i picked yesterday. I`m going to try Penelope Penguins recipe for elderberry wine but i don`t have a clean and empty container that will hold 4.5l of water so i think that i shall try 2.5l and then dilute the resulting liquid afterwards - fingers crossed that all will be well.
I`ve started of 4 demijohns of white wine this morning so it should be all bottled up and ready for Christmas, some will be gifts in the hampers that i am making and others will be hidden from DH so that there will actually be some left for the festive period
Happy Birthday to Kaat Lady & Gingham Ribbon :bdaycake: as others have said hope that you pop in soon.
Welcom Laura & One winged angel :hello:KitchenBunny welcome to you too as i think i forgotlove the name
Mummysaver - I was in stitches when i googled the book :rotfl:
Haribo i also looked at what else had been bought on Amazon  :rotfl: oh how i love the shrieking smiley :rotfl:
I need to go back to my elderberries or i`ll never get them all destalked, i shall be back later.
Have a great day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
:rotfl:At Mummysaver's OH's hamburger:eek: -just been looking at that trick on their website. My OH is way to shy to that kind of thing, thank goodness.
Just been on a shopping spree -new water bottles for the boys, cat repellent for the garden and potatoes. I know how live;) I got wine, chocolate and St Agur (half price in Sainsbury's) too though:)
I saved some choc for OH 'cos I've just emailed him and he says his head hurts when he coughs- aw. I told him not to cough. I'm sympathetic like that;)
Must get on with something and stop wasting time on here. I have ironing to do and muffins to make.
I've decided to make a pizza type tart for supper. Puff pastry rolled out with tomato sauce and cheese on top. Me and OH will have St Agur and onions on ours. Think we probably had something similar last Wed.0 -
Oh my god shoot me - I have just done the unforgiveable and used - chicken stock cubes in my Mexican chicken mix - in the slow cooker. However promise I will make some new chicken stock out of the bones from the chicken. Please forgive me LOLSlimming World - SW 156 - CW 152.5 GW 133 - 19.5 lbs to go

Thriftlady what do you think of your latest book....Nigel slater? I am sitting on my hands trying not to order it.....have requested it from library but it isnt even there yet:cool:
Mummysaver not heard of that book for years.....years ago I worked on a ward for HIV/AIDS and there were loads of gay guys on there and that book was being passed about...it was about 10 years ago....wonder if it is the same men and if their bits and bobs have drooped somewhat since:rotfl:
Fatcat in very odd mood today meowing to be let in and out of rooms and hiding behind the tv...she is an odd creature at times.
Going to have to make some soup at some point too as I have loads of leeks to use up....wonder if I could freeze them?0 -

Yup, slice them up & bag in useable quantities.....then use straight from frozen. My Mum used to have to do that to cope with the glut from Dad's leek growing!0 -

Oh dear Lordy! NO NO NO NO NO :rotfl:
I do live in a tiny village and we do have a lot of village events, but they tend to be limited to bbqs, easter egg hunts, carol concerts and travelling suppers! Either that or I haven't been invited to the more "exclusive" events
thriftlady - my oh knows no shame! and tbh after a few drinks he becomes even more outrageous, we're going out with friends on Friday so who knows what the night has in store (actually we're going to watch speedway racing, so hopefully it'll be too chilly for him to misbehave much :p). whilst typing this I've just had a text to say he's now mastered nessie
NPM - I swear oh was the only straight man in the audience! One woman asked for her money back because she saw two men holding hands - I almost wet myself, for heaven's sake she'd just spent an hour watching two naked men cavort and stretch bits of their bodies into shapes nature never intended! :rotfl:
Wonder if Amazon will now put the price of the books up given how many extra hits you've all generated :rotfl:Glad to have raised a smile for you all today!
Mmm, have done some more OS stuff, wiped down kitchen surfaces and lined my shoes up neatly by colour! Really must off to the shops now else won't have time to make this bloomin meatball and chorizo thing - always takes longer if doing something for the first time (no smutty comments Haribo)

Helloooo Everyone!
I'm back from my canal hols - we were so lucky with the weather! Just wish I had not been so stressed over the work situation that it took some of the enjoyment off it.
Well, hopefully it will be sorted by the end of this week and I'll know if I am going at the end of the month (with some dosh!) or staying and having the long commute, or going with no dosh and taking them to a tribunal...really it has come down to those 3 options, and the next move is theirs, so I am tenterhooks waiting for HR to contact me!
Well, the baby has safely made it to 15 weeks, so we are feeling a lot more settled this time! I have started buying a few more bits & bobs (when I see them cheap of course!), and looking at pushchairs etc! DH is still worried it is early to be getting stuff, but he thinks it is so funny how I go into raptures over all the teeny, tiny clothes etc, that he is forgiving me LOL!
OS-wise I feel complete failure at the moment! The house is really a complete tip (can't remember it this bad before), there's clean washing piled everywhere, along with stuff we brought back from holiday and piles of paperwork which needs attending to. My storecupboard & freezer lists are totally out of date and I haven't a clue what we have in, and I've no idea what we are going to eat for the rest of the week!
My only slight saving grace is that I made a lovely bolognaise last nite using up a load of tomatoes from mum's garden (they all suddenly decided to ripen over the last week while we were away - typical!), and the rest of a bottle of wine that DH & others didn't finish (strange, when I was drinking there was never left-over wine!!!). It was lovely and I planned to take the leftovers for lunch today, but DH got hungry again later and scoffed them, so I have had to make do with toast - GGRRR!
Ah well. Hope everyone having a good day and had a good week last week. Will get around to catching up the threads later for all your news.
