  • evening all

Just popping in quick as had busy day.

I was on a course in Cardiff (1hr15min drive away) so had to leave at 7.30am. It's a 2 day course, I was being picked up by other people who were coming from further west than me, when we got to course we were told that we should have been told that we could have booked accomodation overnight rather than having to travel back and up again tomorrow  yet our line manager's told us this was not allowed! Work eh?

I was so glad i'd made tea already in my SC last night (even if my soup was a tad bland), it was lovely not to have to think bout what to make :D

Hope you all had good days

RIP Patrick Swayze and Keith Floyd

    Evening all,

    Taplady and Pippa...hugs

Coffee out this morning with cousin who has more money than sense....she forgot to bring a cardigan so was heading off to buy one...she only owns about 30 already. Still it was nice to have the chat.

Not so warm here to-day and cloudy, its to be a bit sunnier to-morrow I hope it is as I really must get blackberries and anytime its been fine I've been up to my neck in something I couldn't avoid.

Dinner was lamb chops, they are sooooo expensive we don't often have them but we all enjoy them when I break out...second pavlova from Sunday for pudding with cream and some runny loganberry jam....mmmmm.

No washing left in my basket, but had a hell of a time trying to open the filter on machine as it was not too happy washing yesterday. I tried, appealed to OH who tried also, then DD4 arrived home and sorted it first try....not fair that these youngsters are so much smarter than us.

Can't remember who is going to New Zealand ( memory gone!) but last year when we went to Australia I used hostels and caravan parks for accommodation, they were very satisfactory and reasonably priced....not sure if NZ is the same but worth a try...go through Quidco too if you can and you will get some pennies back.

We have sown some red and white onion sets for winter and some more lettuce...OH thinks that we are going to feed the masses and doesn't understand the concept of a 'pinch' of seed, so will start using it as soon as it breaks ground. Nothing in greenhouse now that is edible so will empty over next few days and see what I can put in to use it over the winter.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, welcome to newbies.

  • Evening, everyone. Been a bit of a mad day here; work early, then I'm not able to get on during the day, and then on to Mum's directly after work ... finally food shopping. It's fair to say I'm exhausted! Back now, and going to have a catch up through the day's thread. :) I hope everyone has had a good day.

It hasn't been the best of days for me. With work it feels like I am expected to do one thing by one part, another by another, and when I try to please one I affect the other ... can't win, and it's a bit of a downer really. I went to the butcher's to try and get a chicken ... no chicken. I've drank so much water today I'm wondering if I won't float off, and I've a teeny sore throat into the mix.

Still, tomorrow is another day. :)

    evening all!

just got in from a long day at work.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts today, it was a difficult day but we all coped. At work we have bought a love seat for the garden and a lovely plant and have made a lovely little remembrance garden which she would have loved.

Pippa.S - congratulations on your DGS:j:j:j:T:T:T thats brilliant news

I'm off for a quick surf before bed now as I'm backin work for 7am tomorrow.
    Do what you love :happyhear

  • Have been a bit frisky today so mostly confined to bed but still managed some osiness while chained to the bed in my hand cuffs (say no more;)) in the form of filing paperwork and cutting out recipes, knitting patterns, craft projects and house design ideas from 3 years worth of magazines which are now ready for the recycling bin. :j
Also managed a spot of knitting (DH was impressed with that one) and 2 weeks meal plans. ;)

It's hard to to girls, but a bit of practice you can do it too. :D

    Haribo x

My, My aren't you a girl of many talents. :D

Blue skies outside. I've got housework to do this morning. BaH Humbug. Might go for a walk with Benny seeing as it's lovely outside.

Lamewolf That's awful. It must get you terribly down.
Bitsy Sending big hugs. :D Kids, don't you just love em.
