    Hi Princess Lou,

The quark - you can use it to make a quiche type thing that is ok for packed lunches. Beat your quark with four eggs till it is all very well mixed in. Chop up peppers and other veg (sorry, can't remember what was on your list), sweetcorn is good, onion too. Any scraps of cooked ham/bacon will work well but are not essential. Mix it all together and pour it in a flan dish, scatter some grated cheese on top (if you have any more) then bake it for 35 mins or so at 180 till it is set. Cut into slices when it is cold. It is like quiche but without the pastry. You can make it more substantial by putting some cooked pasta in the bottom of the baking dish before you pour the rest of the mix on top.

    Good luck with everything.

That sounds really good, Lou. You'll have to come and join the weekly meal plan thread now - it usually starts on Thursday but you can post to it whenever it suits you. It's always interesting reading (at least if you're as nosy as me!).

I've found that, like most things, money saving gets easier the more you do it. A lot of tips I've picked up from this forum are becoming a habit now - I even had my broken handbag repaired rather than buying a new one, which I would never have done before!

And if you get stuck, there's always someone around on this forum who can help - I'm not sure what I'd do without it now! :D
