Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have Eye Surgery whilst on maternity leave and breast feeding.
Would also be grateful for any current vouchers or discount codes.
Been meaning to do this for ages but using babies/pregnancy as an excuse!
Thanks
You have to have stopped breast feeding for 3 months to have laser eye surgery2014 SassySessy Active on DooYoo, Pinecone, Swagbucks, InstaGC and Valued Opinions tracking...

My wife had a consult with Optimax today, they quoted her £3770 and told her if she signed up today they would knock off £1475 bring it down to £2295.00.
She said no and would need time to think it over but I can't help thinking this was just like the dirty double glazing salesman tactics.
Lets be honest anyone with any sense will get a couple of prices at least and would know that £3770 is a joke!.
Gonna try Optical Express next and see what they come up with but that silly 'try to get you to sign straight away' tactic has put us off Optimax.0 -
Optimax quote?
Deal with their head office to get the best deal and go to Optical Express also as the consultations are free, thay will both try to get the max £ for their services
bear in mind Optimax only use a laser to cut the flap for Lasik where OE still offer the knife at reduced cost.using treatmment saver will get you conversing with the correct people via email who are more than happy to negotiate..also have a look at the aftercare contracts.I set my budget for treatment at £1800.00 and just sat back until they got down to my price.and have to say result is fantastic good luck0 -
Hi all,
It's my first post back onto the forums for agesssss! Have taken a break but for various reasons I want to get back into habit of 'forum-ing' - a very healthy habit indeed when trying to money-save!
I am going to see Optimax this Friday for their £2295 price offer of top treatment on both eyes. . I also have a £500 off voucher for Optimax from a friend (well, my uncle) who had the treatment done earlier this year. I have a couple of questions:
1. Will I be able to use the £500 voucher I have as well as the £2295 'top treatment special offer price'?
2. Do others rate Optimax - how do they compare with the others at consultation, questions, advice, sales tactics etc (they have been ok on that front so far)?
Thanks in advance all,Now totally debt free & it feels better than anything money can buy!
Next stop - savings pot for house deposit :j0 -
the Laser blended vision (living without reading glasses) -:j can be
encluded. As an option for the elderly.
Do a 2 weeks germany travel - spend the first and last nigth for an eye check in Frankfurt. 1700,- € both eyes (only eydrops 80 € - excluded).
look for Schaumainkai - Frankfurt am Main, Germany0 -
Hi all,
I had laser eye surgery with Optical Express. Mainly very happy with the results, although my left eye sometimes feels a little blurry but check ups appear OK and only happens now and again, but very disappointed with the service.
The surgical team on the day were fab and check up team have been good, but pre op service was really bad. They give better success rates at the consultation than the surgeon advises just before the surgery, and they also gave wrong information re treatment in respect to my large pupils. There is no excuse for this incorrect information as at the consultation they have access to the same information as the surgeon on the day. They either need better training or be told off for lying to get bookings.
I have reported this plus other issues but all they say is sorry, not what is being done to correct things, and in all honesty I don't think they will.
They offer company discounts, late booking discounts for weekday appointments not filled or if you get a voucher from someone who has had the treatment then you could get up to £300 off.
I'd recommend the treatment and know a few people who have had laser eye surgery from Optical Express and Optimax and have been so happy with the results, but beware of incorrect information Optical Express give out to get the booking.0 -

Optical Express - in administration!
Warning Optical Express is in administration. I have been waiting for a refund since Aug from them and they have been giving me all sorts of excuses. Because they are registered in Scotland (Optical Express Southern Ltd doesnt exist anymore) I cannot sue them for my money through small claims court.
Avoid them like the plague0
