Yeah good idea sally. I am having my mini mid life crisis this morning... what do I want to achieve before I am 40.

Thin and rich kind of covers it :)

That sounds like an ideal goal :rotfl: Well its mine...although im not so sure that getting into teaching is going to get me rich in any shape or form :rotfl:

Try searching RW events tab for a half round then...the problem you'll have is finding a flat one that close to marathon season...they tend to be hilly as its good prep (apparently ). I'm doing Blackpool mara in April and there's a half at the same time - almost totally flat along the seafront - enough people that you'll always have someone to run with but not too many that have to weave (and its cheap :D), but I dont know how far that is from you...

There's also Liverpool half - it has reasonable reviews...and these two but I cant access the RW screen for them:
    Rotary Shakespeare Half-Marathon
    White Horse Half-Marathon

When is the liverpool half marathon becky do you know...that would be great to do...good night out up there too:rotfl:

Which reminds me my training plan only goes up to Dec 31st - need to start thinking beyond that for marathon training

After yesterdays bad run its going to be hard work to keep the long term goal in mind for a few weeks I think *rolls eyes*

I'm sure you'll bounce back Becky.

I actually need a training plan of some sort - thinking of maybe aiming to get my distance up to 10 miles in 12 weeks.

Not sure I like this counting weeks thing... in 16 weeks I'll be 30

Its alright though because I can pin it on stomach bug so I know there was a cause rather than just general rubbishness - but still its a bit dispiriting to be soooo far off pb ;)

You are running 6 miles now right? That shouldnt be hard at all then :D

Yeah last long run was about 5.5.. did get up to about 8.5 last year so it should be achievable... I think!
