No I'm not, I'm only answering the points put to me, which I am more than happy to do, showing my belief and conviction in the cause. If you REALLY think this can fly and think that the majority are in favour, why not put it to a general vote with a simple yes\no in favour and see how your poll fares. You'd have to manage it obviously to get an appreciation for the ball-ache of admin.
I have concerns from several replies that members are 'not getting the concept' and that is obvious. To go to vote you must put your case and be sure & confident that members understand it or else you are flogging a dead horse or dog for that matter, LOL!:p Besides I have mailed MSE direct. The general vote YES/NO is easy, and no ball-ache at all.

Read back my last post. Sounded a bit terse which it wasn't supposed to. All I'm saying and its my humble opinion is that its not a bad idea but practically I don't think its a goer as one won't be able to, unless its particularly onerous, be able stop people posting where they feel relevant. Then someone replies and we're back to where we were, be it one forum or two.
Unless an new offer thread is locked as soon as it is posted and a separate thread started for discussion on said offer, I don't see how your plan can practically be governed.0 -

1. People will post chat and questions on the "offers section" no matter how many sections you have. Most people post chat/questions in the appropriate thread (stickies and the chat thread), but some people start a new thread. The same kind of people will continue to do the same no matter how many sections the forum has. Of course this is not counting when people need help asap in an emergency.
2. You are updated on the newest offers if you look through page 1. In extreme cases you may need to click on page 2, but these offers will come back to the front page within the same day usually.
The intentions of TT and jaydee (who posted about this earlier) are good, but there are too many (new and old) users here to make it work the way described by TT. You may see a slight improvement, but nothing really measurable, and the board guides will still have to put up with the same kind of work.
But one good thing that could come out of something like this is more of a community feel for the GIOL people, where you have threads where you can post whatever. There probably is a section for this somewhere on the mse forums, but I would imagine a lot of people posting here don't know or have any interest in other things than GIOL.

You have not understood the point. Of course chat & questions are inevitable BUT what we want is Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions THREADS ONLY (and discussion about those same THREAD OP's) in one Forum, and other general chat & questions in another Forum - See OP.
If it drifts a bit well OK, but as long as it starts out (the OP) as above with each THREAD in that Forum. I.E. The starting OP THREAD in Forum No.1 (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes) should be exclusively exclusively: Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions. The starting OP THREAD in Forum 2 (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes - Chat & Questions) should be exclusively for that, just chat & Q's, get it?
B. You are updated on the newest offers if you look through page 1. In extreme cases you may need to click on page 2, but these offers will come back to the front page within the same day usually.
I said, from OP:
"...Forum No.1 (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes) is cluttered and chocked with general chat. Please could you initiate a second Forum, No.2 titled Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes - Chat. This would ensure that there would only ever be, exclusively: Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions in Forum No.1 meaning those not in need of, or wanting to avoid wading through pages of meaningless banter, could just get straight down to business, whilst making it easier too for Newcomers / Beginners / Amateur Match-Bettors to source the information that they require..."

It can and will work with just 1% of the right, and positive attitude. We need to be open to improvement & change. All round this will be a super time saver for us money saving experts!
D) But one good thing that could come out of something like this is more of a community feel for the GIOL people, where you have threads where you can post whatever. I agree my idea would create a better community, where you post accordingly, not whatever, precisely the opposite.0 -

What you suggest TT wont work. It needs to stay as it is.Greatwood - A charity for retired racehorses and children with special needs0 -
I'm not trying to second-guess MSE/Martin here but my first thought reading that is that perhaps Martin would not be totally unhappy to see the end of the GIOL board? After all, if you (MissK) decided (or through circumstances were forced) to suddenly quit, the board would have no BGs at all, which could very easily lead to the end of the board in next to no time (not hard to think of a few different scenarios that would cause an unmoderated GIOL board to implode...).
I would have thought there always needs to be a minimum of 2 simply because of "handing over the baton" as it were. To be any kind of a BG for GIOL requires a lot of specialist knowledge, it's not a role anyone (i.e. a BG from a different board) could simply pick up from scratch.
2 BG's are a necessity not a luxury.:D0 -

I should hope that everyone is listening regardless as it's the way forward for this Forum. I think the OP is crystal clear, any confusion up to now has been covered and refurbished, fully. Anyone with a true and genuine interest would be following the thread carefully.:beer:0 -

This is my sort of preferred Page One after the stickies.
centrebet - NFL promotion
betchronicle - 2-2 offer
bet365 - 4/1 racing offer
corals - 10% cashback
boyles - CL cashback special
general chat - what you had for breakfast etc etc
betfair arcade - roulette
globet - warning
winunited cashback fridays
stan james - free chips
racing post - Sept 12th offers
betclic 50€ casino offer
betonbet - warning!
and so on
And within those threads every comment, argument, reasoned discussion that there has been about that offer, including jokey posts, horses in daft hats, everything. If you want to research an offer, it's all in one place. Why have to wade through hundredweights of irrevelant stuff in a chat thread, which may in the end add nothing to your knowledge. OK it will take a bit of time bypassing the horses in daft hats, but knowing that most items will/should be relevant to a degree, so potentially useful, means that any wading through a dedicated thread is worth while.
It just seems more efficient that way.
Or have I not understood the concept?
Aren't you exhausted yet TT?0 -

No. YOU don't understand the point TT that I, Mariner13, etc are making...and to be honest I'm starting to yawn.
Your suggestion is very simple to digest. VERY.
However, you don't seem to grasp what people are saying...the very essence of your response above denotes that. So I guess I'm going to have to break down my point simpler...
Ok...so at the moment there is a sticky titled "STEP 3 Matched Betting Questions Thread " where people are strangely enough to put questions about matched betting...but they don't always.
Also at the moment there is also a thread titled "No tips just chat [chat thread]." which people strangely enough are supposed to reserve just for chat. Yet although we know a lot of 'chat' has gone, at the time of writing, no 'chat' has occurred in the chat only thread since 2nd Sept!
Are you grasping my point yet? There are already separate respositories for Questions and Chat.
Do people use the forum in that manor? No. If you're still lost on what we are trying to say, I'll give up.0
