I like it the way it is, if it was split valuable info would be duplicated and in some cases missed. I think it works as is

Does not sound that you like job - maybe Tipster could takes over or one of other expert ?

My job is something I do during the day, I even get paid for that one. I volunteer to help run the board smoothly. And most of the time, the self regulation and the wonderful people who help are fantastic. I won't name them all but I do read most of the threads on here and the ones that viciously attacks posters and the ones who imply I should have nothing better to do with my time I resent. :)

I'm not sure tipster qualifies as an expert though ;)

    1. Where do you get the 40% number from? Quote MK, "I'd like to see the MSE forum team having to read the drivel I do on this board." It is as high as that.

    2. Currently on the front page of GIOL, THIS is the ONLY chat thread, everything else relates to matched betting.

It might relate to MB BUT they are not all: Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions, now are they? Which leads me to think you have not understood the proposal.

E.G. Current Threads: 'Billy Hills sent a cheque when I use quickcash'
Has been moved to the correct board by me
    'Exchange rates'
Deals with how one should work when working with bookies in euros
    'BetOnBet bankrupt'
Good idea not to do that bookie perhaps?
    'Dealing with foriegn exchange'
Has been merged into the other thread?
    'Bwin withdraw problems'
Addressing concerns and being careful not to deposit with a bookie if you can't bet
    'betsafe problem?'
How to deal with a bookie
    '2 arbs with sportingbet'
Cumulation of merged threads from a newly prolific pster
    'Ultimatcher.. Version 2 now available!'
    Matched betting tool
'Request a Matched Betting Tip *Chat Required*'
    Help and chat with tips

You were saying MK? You do the maths, it doesn't add up.

    WITH RESPECT MK:

This is a perfectly reasonable suggestion, and was in no way an attack on you MK but an opinion. Hence my adding, "...However, this Forum needs another BG 100%...", which no one disagrees with. We need to be open to improvement & change. It can and will work with the right, and a positive attitude.

It would mean BG's simply checking if every THREAD was Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions in Forum No.1 (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes) OR Chat & Q's in Forum 2 (Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes - Chat & Q's)

    Simple as that.

    Cheers, TT.

    Please read responses in red

I'm very open to another board guide and I have suggested to MSE and they have said they are not looking for another one. I cannot magic another board guide out of the air.

and board guides are not obliged to read every thread (although I do try and will continue to do so especially when I work a full time job)

You CANNOT delineate them that easily, you need all the information to do so. You can post offers but without chat you cannot determine if it's worth doing, if the bookie is starting to pay slowly and therefore you should be wary or if there are problems.

If there are chat posts in an offer thread you would like them to be moved to the chat board but out of context, they are meaningless. If you have a REASONABLE suggestion on how to improve the board, I will be happy to listen to it but there are things that won't and cannot change.

    A) MSE won't split this board up
    B) MSE are not looking for another board guide for this board
    C) I work a full time job and I volunteer help this board run smootly.

Perhaps you are in running to be a board guide but perhaps it would be better if you helped out more answering newcomer questions instead of drawing grand plans in the air.
  • I'm with TT. I think there is a real need for this. I don't have the time for all the bs on here. I don't mind answering questions and posting advise or offers when I can but what I really want is current offers all in one place.

I think 99.5% of people who use this forum dont care.

Just need bookie name, offer, how to do it and how much.

The rest of the stuff is what you get on any one-trick forum ... a few long-termers who have maintained their enthusiasm for the concept over the years and as there is only so much you can talk about MBing ..

    ... chat is inevitable.

Dont think the newbies bother to chat as they just want the info and to go. So...

    ... questions are inevitable.

Hence, chat and repetitive questions are inevitable.

    1. I think 99.5% of people who use this forum dont care. You are wrong about this - see the replies already, there is demand.

    2. You have not understood the point. Of course chat & questions are inevitable BUT what we want is Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions THREADS ONLY (and discussion about those same THREAD OP's) in one Forum, and other general chat & questions in another Forum - See OP.;)

Makes more sense to keep the offer and any chat about the offer in one place doesnt it surely.

At the end of the day does it really matter!!

"...This would ensure that there would only ever be, exclusively: Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions in Forum No.1 meaning those not in need of, or wanting to avoid wading through pages of meaningless banter, could just get straight down to business, whilst making it easier too for Newcomers / Beginners / Amateur Match-Bettors to source the information that they require. Forum Moderators will of course have to monitor this ensuring posts that truly belong in either thread do go there..."

This forum doesn't just fit around any one individual. What you want, may not be what i want, and both of those things might not be what someone else would like.

I agree wholeheartedly with the first part.

However, what classifies anyone as an expert in this basic, but very very useful forum? I may not be an expert but who is?
