The curtains in my living room are dry clean only, is there any way of washing them myself, or do I need to make a trip into town?MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Hi all,
I haven't started flying this week as I've had a phone call that's worrying me sick. One of my jobs is coming to an end after this month (I'm self-employed and do several things to bring the money in). It means that we'll be £400 down a month, which is really, really worrying to start with but it's now just occured to me that the loss of this job is going to take my hours down to below 16 a week and that means that it will affect my wf tax credits, so we'll be even worse off.
My head is spinning at the moment and I can't think straight. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of their hours going down and how that affected their WFTC.
Also, is it correct that you are being paid for last year's income so any money that we currently get wouldn't change till next April? My sister seems to think this is the case but I don't think it's as straight-forward as that.
Help! Any advice would be hugely welcome at the moment.
And I'm sorry it's not anything to do with flying.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Well, I still haven't done anything productive this morning as DD3 has been unsettled all morning - think she may be coming down with DD2's cold - YAY! This has meant that I've been carrying around a hefty 11 week old most of the time (she weighs 17lb ).
Going to make DD2 some lunch soon and giver her some Calpol before taking her to preschool then hopefully make a start on this tip that is my living room.
Definitely need to get this house sorted as I have a friend coming to stay next week.0 -
I have given up on steam cleaning my oven for now and have sprayed the base with oven cleaner. I inhaled it and it set me coughing for ages. I will leave that for a while and see how it works. I am going to leave the rest of it for Friday I thinkMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
