I did not get the job at Boots. Hey ho i am now not sure what to think as i thought it was a good interview. How wrong could i be.

Ask them for feedback - it may have gone well, but there may have been someone else who was more suitable. Or there may be something that they can feed back as a suggestion for future interviews.

I'm back from my visit to my godfather, with LOTS of fruit and veg from his garden :D so will be eating vegetables for the foreseeable future!

I have a friend visiting tomorrow, so I need to get downstairs clean and tidy, and ideally pick up the apples from the garden & mow the grass before she arrives.

As there were traffic problems on the way home, I also need to get my tyres sorted out tomorrow morning, as they still haven't been done :o. If not, it'll have to be Tuesday (which might be more manageable).

I've had an email back from my cousin about the woodstove, so should be able to make a start on looking for quotes on Monday.

Tree surgeon still hasn't called back  so will have to ring them on Monday (a week after I called) and ask them to confirm whether they are interested in the job.

No more bids have arrived for my furniture shipment, so I'll go with the cheapest one and hopefully get that organised next week too!

Suppose I should get on and do something...

You can bung your toms in a bag and stuff them in the freezer - when you defrost the skins peel straight off ready to use.

Quillion - you may have been unlucky and against somebody who had worked for Boots before or just had a bit more experience. The feed back sounds good so hopefully something else will come up real soon.

I thought it was always wine o'clock in your house! :p

Carol, nice to see you back!

Diva, glad to hear the lavender is not bashed, and thanks for the link to the Strictly Thread!

    Hugs Dusty

I only have one duvet, last night I really wished I had a winter one to put on the bed

Achtunglady, hugs for your friend, that sounds very hard for her

Hugs Quillion – the feedback sounds good tho

Mudbath hope your dad and son get better soon

Natty, well done on your five stars and have a great holiday

I've done nothing more - cooked dinner, made a phone call and that's it.

Am watching the one show with Victoria Wood - she is so funny! And Rav Wilding split his trousers in training, more than once apparently. Oooh er missus!
I reckon Tuffers will have a good chance on Strictly too, he seems quite flexible

Going out to a friends later, hoping she likes Strictly cos I wanna watch it! Have a good evening everyone
