Firstly let me apologise for not coming on here & telling you my news yesterday (thanks hex) for passing it on.
I have to admit I hit rock bottom when they told me 'no more treatment would be beneficial' basically my type of cancer (Leiomyosarcoma) is very rare & they have put me on the 'too difficult' pile
I have had surgery, chemo isn't considered to be effective & radiotherapy would apparently cause more harm than good because it could permanently damage the bladder & bowel (sorry if you are having breakfast) so they are at a loss...my local hospitals & Royal Marsden.
Thank you so much for all the messages & ideas sent my way, I am going to do a lot of research today based on what people have suggested......please forgive me if I don't reply to everyone personally....just know I love you all & appreciate all the time & effort you have put in on my behalf :A:A xx....ultimately I think I will be going to the US & get a second opinion out there.....they seem to be geared up for trying other options  I feel I owe it to myself & my family to explore all avenues......the sad news about Patrick Swayze has spurred me on
Today is a new day & I intend to make the most of every one I have left (pain & tiredness permitting) so I will start by doing some ironing just to put life into perpective
Love & hugs to All

DONT LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN:mad:

Then i find out that my local library that was doing open learning (pay £20 for 6 months and have access to course books for IT and 2 hours daily free use of library computer) is stopping it.
Do bad things happen in threes? I asked my son if he ate the pasta salad i made fresh for his lunch monday morning, he said someone walked past and spat in his food, when he went to the dinner lady she said you cant have anything unless you pay for it, he didnt see who it was as he had his head down eating and they came from behind, when he did look up, there was a group of 15-20 older kids. I wasnt an angel at secondary school, worst we would do would be throw food at people but spitting in a persons food is just so damn low class and nasty, what diseases are spread through saliva?? I have emailed the school as when son told me it was 5pm, I'm going to the school tomorrow (Tuesday) to sort it out, 2nd week at school and the bullying has started, hubby is livid, if son saw who did it, then the person would not want to mess with the other half whos scary when hes not angry let alone when he is!!!
That is dispicable and the school wants a rocket for not helping him out with some lunch. That's good news jinks!
Great news Jinks x
Thank you all so very much for my well wishes i will let you all know as soon as i get an answer.
Thanks Guys.

Whil that is REALLY poor service from the college.. it took me about a week
to master excel and about 20 minutes to get powerpoint.. I can't see the others taking longer.. just go play with them they are really very very simple.. my 6 year old uses powerpoint at school better than the teacher lol.. and the children reglarly use pubisher.. I have every faith in your ability to master them before December.
I agree about powerpoint - and once you've got the basics then the rest you can pick up as and when you need it (trust me, you don't need the animations etc that often ).
Excel & Access I have never really got the hang of (I can use them for basic stuff, e.g. managing my own finances... when I choose to manage them) as in my last job two of my team did most of the spreadsheet & database work (one did spreadsheets, the other did databases, but they did cross-train). Both of them were happiest, once they'd got the basics, working from books to find out the best way of doing whatever was needed. When they did go on courses, they said that they felt the content wasn't relevant to them and they'd rather learn by doing things that were needed. As a result, I bought them a couple of books each from Amazon (which I'll try to find details of if anyone wants to know) and they produced some fantastic work... including a scoring matrix for the governors' self-assessment for ofsted at my local primary school
Didn't manage to get up early today... morning migraine yet again. Woke up with it at 4am, so took pills and went back to sleep but still feel dopey. I really need to work out what the problem is...
However, the fencing/landscape people called at 9am, so I've spoken to them and they'll be coming over next Wed/Thurs to have a look.
Ipod worked the morningso I have taken ALL the music off it and put my Italian and French on it. I think I might also try to locate those running podcasts that Hex did and add them to it, just in case I ever get round to using them
Better have breakfast and then go to the shop for loo paper! Then it's back to my long lists of stuff to do before I start work again...
I'll post a list later
ETA - if anyone's got a reason for NOT doing the ironing Lady-Liberty, it's you! (and if you are doing it, surely it should be in the form of a lesson to the rest of the family so that they know how the iron works) Good luck with your research. Have you found any support groups for people with the same/similar conditions? That way you can find out what things they've tried and what is and isn't worth trying.
Jinky - great news. Hope its all sorted out soon.0 -
