My Elf came in the post today, he is sooo cute! Can't wait till 1st Dec when he arrives properly!0

Finally found myself an elf so I can join in with this - so excited and reckon it's the last year I can get away with it before my son just questions my sanity. Been looking everywhere and finally found him in Haskins (garden centre near Crawley). I am pleased to introduce to you to Perkin Snodgrass - the below will be his Facebook picture when I set him up. Actually I might question my own sanity later when I have time...0

I found this thread last year, but my DD was only 5 months old at the beginning of December, so was too young.
She'll be 17 months old this year and would really like to do it, but do you think she'll be too young?
I think she'll like the elf itself and will cuddle it lots (and appreciate the chocolate) but I'm wondering if she's too little to appreciate the whole thing and maybe it would be better to wait until next year.
What do you think?0 -

The nice thing is there are no rules :rotfl:so why not give it a try and see ahow it goes, you could always do the simple things this year and wait till next year to start the mischievous side of your elf. For example im sure she will enjoy the elf coming to visit, putting him to bed, leaving her chocolates and im sure there are lots of other ideas. Then next year your elf could have snowball fights and teddy picnics.
I love this idea and wish id known about it sooner, my kids are now 3 and 9 and i will definatly be doing it this year. Hubby is really excited about it. LOL:j:heart2:Sam:heart2:0 -

What a lovely little elf! Well done on such a good find, elves seem to be quite hard to find, especially good ones:j0 -

I am using the same elf this year, but I also have 2 mini elves on order from the lovely GreenPixey off here and she is also making me a bigger elf, these other elves will all arrive at different times, the smaller 2 will probably arrive later on as both children know they are not allowed to take elves to bed, but my DD who was 2 last year gave her Dummies to the elf, and in return he had cuddles in her bed on christmas eve (she went without christmas eve bless her) so my thoughts were that the 2 smaller elves could be ones for them to keep once Jolly Sugar Socks has gone home!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

I would get a different elf if I wasn't happy with the original elf, after all Santas has lots of different helpers!
Found this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rag-Doll-Boy-Aurora-14-Xmas-ELF-Christmas-NEW-soft-toy-/130441572102?pt=UK_Soft_Toys_Bears&hash=item1e5eec6f06
