This is such an excellent idea! Does anyone know where you can buy elves from at this time of year? We will be moving house in the next month or so so would like to get as much ready as I can before hand. Thanks again x

We got two of these for DS and DD last year from Clinton Cards...

don't know if they'll have the same or something similar this year...

I just got some iron on letters from Hobbycraft and ironed the initial of each my children onto the front of their suits so we knew who they belonged to!

  • If anybody is looking for an elf this year in Boots they are selling Ben elf from "Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom":

    http://www.boots.com/en/Ben-Holly-Ben-Beanie_1126837/?exploreAttributes=-_--_--_--_--_-Best%20Match-_-List-_-%27Search%3A%20All%27-_--_--_--_-%270%27

He is only £7 and could be made quite Christmassy.

    Hope this helps somebody.

I sold quite a few hand knitted gnomes/elves last year and have orders for more already. I just finished sewing up my 6th one last night. I think lots of people are doing elf activities now. I think it's so sweet, if my children were younger i definately would be!

Here is last years line up :

  • I only heard about doing this a month ago and am sooooo looking forward to doing it this year for my DD's (4 & 1). Just need to find an elf now so if anyone knows of anywhere that sells any? I would like a proper elf rather than a tatty ted type thing!
  • theres a place on ebay selling 14" Aurora Rag Boy Doll XMAS ELF, item number 290482658367, cant put a link on as new member but thats what u can put in the search bit on ebay.
there's only 3 left at the mo but if you anit lucky enough to get this in time, email her and ask her if she will get more in (which is very likely) and ask if she would let you know when they come back in stock. I ordered mine this morning after she emailed me saying she was listing more.

hi, quick post- mum made elves last year for my 2dd's, they will be coming back this year- girls already talking about it :-) my niece and nephew loved them too so was hoping to do same for them this year but going to do slightly differently. Found these reindeers http://www.partyrama.co.uk/pp/Cuddly_Soft_Toys/Wholesale_Soft_Toys/Plush_Cuddly_Santa_Reindeer_Soft_Toy_Assorted_Design_-_Sold_Single.html- going to dress them as elves with letter from santa- saying something about them thinking they are elves- do you think this will be as effective? Thanks x

I think the reindeer dressed like elves are a lovely idea!

I am doing the elf this year for my 8 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter and found one of Snow White's dwarfs at the local boot sale for .50p and he's dressed Christmasy and will be our Christmas elf this year. :D
