Just to let you know Elf is coming on channel 4 in 10 mins - Elfie has just bought popcorn, sweets and fizzy for us all to watch it together! He has requested front row position for himself!

I have it recorded, hoping to do a little movie night for the 3 of us this week whilst daddy is working away!!

Yummy - Glad your little one has come around, I couldn't bear the thought of my 7 year old DS not believing, infact I don't even remember when I stopped believing, but I am pretty sure I did well into my teens! Not likely to happen here though with the way things are nowadays (kids in general)

Our elf has put up the decorations in the living room. Spent the last 3 hours doing it ! Poor OH now has to drive upto aberdeen, he should be there for about 3am

The kids faces will be an absolute picture in the morning though as JSS has a string on his hat so he is hooked on a branch :j :j really feel christmassy now!!

some more updates on Jolly tums - tums blog last nights antics caused lots of laughs this morning.:rotfl:
  • Our Elves - Rosie Sparkle Pants and Robin Stinky Pants were caught watching Disney Cinemagic channel earlier.

The Disney production called 'Prep and Landing' is just excellent. It's about Santa's elves.

Great film to get the kids believing....and your elves might recognise a few faces too. I told my 2 that the elf in the film was our elves 2nd cousin (someone stop me, I have been so carried away)

Made jelly for their packed lunches today and popped jelly sweets on top whilst nearly set.

Left notes for the kids to bake with them.

Hid in their underwaer drawers (with underwear on)

    Toilet rolled the Chirstmas Tree

Stole choc out of advent calendar and had a treasure hunt treat

Cut up snowflakes and left the mess

Hung up snowfalkes next day while they were at school in their bedrooms

Toasted marshmallows on skewers in front TV with free 'Fire effect' DVD

Went to panto with them and got backstage

Stole other cuddly toys and dressed them up

Made loo roll biniculars and were sat at the window looking out for them on their way home

    Hid in the fridge

Found in the morning with empty Ben and Jerry's' Tub!!!!

Cadburys elf wrappers (empty) left in various places every day (the same wrappers just saved up)

    Photos with kids while sleeping

Wrapped up shoeboxes for Shoebox appeal so other elf wrapped up naughty one and selotaped him to shoebox too

Climbed up tree to act like fairy

Given gifts to relatives and friends (grandma who wont be here at christmas, daughters friend who's dad is very ill, etc) The elves have also left notes to ask to visit relatives. Great for kids who dont want to go visiting. We took elves and photos.

Elfed the kids, dog and elves on facebook. Printed off pics and hung them round the house

Found hanging in Stockings on fireplace

    Found reading Christmas elf books

Bought 'Elf in Training' outfits from Ebay for their Bear Factory bears.

Ebay again...Bought Santa and elf window clings (still to be done here)

Elf poo found in living room

Notes to get kids to try something new or get a bonus reward if they help with dishes or cooking etc.

Cotton Wool - Snowball fights / next day fill kids shoes with cotton wool.

Moved fairy lights into different places everyday

Hung washing all over the living room. From curtain pole and lampshades and fireplace.

Stole a whole bag of mum's sweets and ate them all then hid the wrapper in their pants.

Change the laptop background to different photos of them everyday

Bounce on mum and dads bed (Oh no)

    Bungee jumping from curtain poles

Add extra chilli and paprika to the nacho sauce (Yum)

Sorry to go on but thought some of you were short on ideas, hope this helps.
  • Your elves have done so much!! Mine have hardly done a thing, the kids are really not interested in him at all, but maybe thats becuase I have not done enough!! The best thing so far was the chocolates on the tree, but my eldest kept asking if it was me!!

Have made the snowflakes will hang them this weekend!!
  • Hi folks

Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying reading about all your elf mischief. DD is 16 and I wish I'd known about it when she was little :)

Our elf, Mistletoe has been very quiet lately. DD2 was ill and he was watching over her. She was well enough to go back to school today so 'let the mischeif begin' !!!

After reading this thread last year I bought an elf for my dd and her family in Oz and one for my ds and his partner and sent them the link to this thread. I was sent lots of photos of each elf getting into mischief over last year's holiday; my ds just sent me a photo - of their elf relaxing on a caribbean beach last week! Seems like this is a tradition that will carry on.... thanks so much for the idea - its popular with grown-up kids too! :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Such a shame but I was unable to see the pics as I'm not a friend.
    Thanks for trying though.
