Last night Mistletoe just had peaceful night - not one bit of mischief!!!. He brought my daughter some paint your own stained glass christmas tree decorations (still unopened). I think on Fridays she just wants to unwind from the week at school - can't say I blame her!!!

Mistletoe is watching a dvd tonight. I have borrowed a copy of Miracle on 34th Street, and have popcorn and sweeties at the ready!!!

OH thinks I'm mad, but funnily enough he's usually the big kid and I thought this would be right up his street! He just looks at me like I'm stark raving bonkers!!! Oh well, Me and DD2 are having fun!!!!!!

my two are still loving the antics - even though one night they just both slept in dd's bed - i would encoourage anyone reading this to do it with there kids it is so magical the kids really believe and my elf and reindeer have more input with my facebook friends then i do!!! if i don't regularly post there antics i get lots of grief!!! thinking about setting up a fan club!

Yesterday we caught Reg eating the dog food from the packet whille Peppermint held his legs and then last night Reg and peppermint filled the house with santa aand snowmen balloons you could'nt see the floor for them!!! It was worth it just to hear DS laugh when he went down stairs.

For the morning peppermint has left them a challenge to make a snowman from a sock can't wait to see the results!! Reg is also stuck on the top of the highest book shelf with peppermint trying to get him.

    enjoy your elfing xxx

  • we have had major problems here. 7yr old decded that the elfis a toy and not real which has upset 4yr old. and he wont do as told. so the elf wrote in his book that he wasnt going to do anything nice or move from his sleeping bag until things improved.

4yr old wrote him a note saying sorry and the elf has forgiven him. and told 7yr old he cant make him believe etc but he wont leave him any gifts or do anything nice until he says sorry for upsetting every1. 7yr old said he not saying sorry and doesnt want anythhing tto do with it.

so last night elf appeared on 4yr old bed with a mini teddy bear and left 1 in babies cot as well. 7yr old was bit upset that he didnt have 1 but still said hes not getting involved in it.

aww just found this thread! sounds amazing! i wish i had a child just to play along! although i am not sure who is having the more fun...your kids or yourselves LOL!

yummymummy - oh no about the 7 year old! put night at the museum/toystory on for him and show him that toys do come to life! do you think he mentioned it to his friends at school and they laughed at him or something? 7 year olds are far to advanced for my liking! my friends 10 year old still totally believes and its heart breaking that they have to tell her before she goes to high school :(

    Hiya
I've not posted for a while but Jinky the reindeer is continuing to have lots of fun. The children are loving pictures of his antics. The naughtiest thing he's done is go into my dh's study and throw paper around (I had fun taking that photo!). He also opened all the doors of an advent calendar and ate the chocolate (I didn't really let him eat the chocolate but took piccies of squares of choccie all around him!). I've just realised what I wrote then....of course he didn't eat it....he's not real! I'm being dumb today!!!

I went away for a few days and DH took a picture of him in the frying pan! He wrote in the book....'your dad wanted a midnight feast but luckily I escaped!!!' Thank goodness my children are 8 and 10 and are doing this for the fun/extra chocolate/my benefit!!!!

DD is currently sitting on the sofa making paper chains with Jinky. She's loving it and she's the 10 year old! Yummy mummy - maybe your 7 year old will come round next year when he realises there's more to be gained by going along with it. Mine aren't getting much but the extra chocolate a day each is too much to resist! xx

Our elf Elvis McTumshie has been up to all sorts this week, mainly creeping into the kids beds and playing with their toys. I need to think of more stuff for him to do, I think im getting a bit lazy. i need to inject some more magic. Im just so tired at night when it comes to thinking of stuff for him to do. Thinking of taking along with us when we go to a panto next week. Hes already left some craft stuff for them to do, and ate daddys pringles. played with the wii fit, went in the fridge, put toilet paper everywhere, climbed the xmas tree. Im running out of ideas.
