Haven't had time to do much bloging as we're decorating but i am trying. Peppermint and Reg have been having great fun here Reg got a letter from his mum with some family photos in, they made everyone a 'elfy' breakfast yesterday morning of pancakes fruit and yoghurt with the table all set out christmassy. Then this morning when we got up Reg had been flying and had got tangled up in the light fitting, but peppermint was no where to be found, he'd left a message saying he was 'going on a top secret mission'. After dinner he suddenly reappeared with the camera and when we had a look he'd been to work with dad. Then when we all came back from visiting a friend peppermint and Reg had decided to have a snowball fight - what a mess there was photo's are here on face book but be warned there's loads i do go over the top!!! photo's (hope that works). It's great hearing about everyone's antics and isn't it fun - I love the delight on the kids faces every morning and DD is always talking to our visitors, i was worried that after doing it last year the magic would have faded a bit but it's even stronger this year.

hope your feeling better Rusty xxx

Hi all, This my first post here so I hope you don't mind too much.

Our elf, Mistletoe arrived on Wednesday night, He brought my daughter some fairy lights for her little tree in her bedroom.

Thursday evening he was putting chocolate christmas decorations on the big tree, where he fell asleep after eating a few. He left the wrappers all over the floor. Naughty elf!

Last night he made snow angels out of flour, on the dining room table. He was missing the snow, poor thing.

Tonight I have a feeling he'll be decorating the house with a toilet roll, as he hasn't done anything really, really naughty up until yet.

I'm really enjoying this, a little too much. Hehe. I'll be sad when he goes. My DD is 7 in January - I didn't know if I'd get away with explaining about a little elf coming to stay but I'm really happy I tried away. I just hope we will be able to have the same fun next year.

This is brill! Please can someone organise for our house to have a really helpful elf - one who empties the dishwasher, or wipes the tables? Oh hang on, that's Brownies isn't it? Rats, tried that.............(NB it did work, for a bit)

Or an elf who comes for the holidays after Christmas would be good. Those are the days that really can be troublesome, i think - tired children, evern tireder adults, relatives to see who you spend the rest of the year avoiding....I think I may invent "Jontie", the elf who makes eveyone have a lie-in after Xmas instead of leaping up at sunrise...........
  • Cyril our elf has been very helpful. After getting the tools out the other day we know why. He has moved things around in the bedroom and changed cot into a bed he even snuggled down under the duvet with a book but he was soon chucked out and she climbed in shame she doesnt stay more than 30 seconds in there. Unfortunately she now thinks that the bed is Cyrils and is back in the middle of our bed ! Can't figure out this blog thing yet lol when I get chance I have loads of pics to upload x Happy Elfing everyone

Otis was busy last night. When ds1 got up in night for toilet he came back to find him hanging upside down from the bed frame! Then when they were all asleep he was playing on the kids piano and trying to climb into ds2's cot!!!!

Ds1 told me yesterday he will miss Otis when he goes back on xmas eve. I am hoping that the sock monkeys i am making to put in the xmas eve hampers will help him get over Otis!!!! But he did look really sad when he said it, but cheered up a bit when I said that Santa might let him come back next year if he is good.
  • Hello all, I am can finally join you as Jinglebob arrived last night! My DS is only 21 months old so I am keeping it pretty simple this year but hope that it will become a Christmas tradition we keep going for years. Jinglebob is a Alan Dart gnome knitted by Granny. He arrived in his own sleeping bag and spent the night under the Christmas tree that he put up while we were all in bed! I can't wait for the mischief to begin, I am sure DS will find it funny!
