Hi, been doing the elf thing, but like Mudbath, we have a reindeer, appearred in DD's bed on the 1st, after school and has colured some secret pictues through the night, left message re the Father Christmas vid. When we were decorating the tree, DD went to the loo and left Rudy by the tree, when she got back he was sitting on the sofa watching TV, (I was behind the tree hanging baubles) and today, after I left hm sleeping on the sofa, to pick up DD from school, he was found colouring in pictures, with the remote controle( I swaer I turned it off!!!) wathing CBBC, with (cheap) drawing books and a note saying that he had watche TV while I was at work!!!!

Think I am enjoying this a bit TOO much!!!

Thank you all for the idea and antics!!!

well we got up this morning and the elves had fallen asleep in the middle of a game of pool on daddys pool table! that is a big 'no no' in this house and the kids couldn't believe it... so funny to watch DS telling his elf off!! :D

tonight, I have taken two pairs of pants and tied some xmas wrapping string through them and attached it to the elves... then hung them over the lights... the elves have been trying to parachute and have got stuck! They have also left out some things to make some cakes with Thomas the Tank on them tomorrow.

p.s. hope you are feeling better now rusty xx
  • this is my first time having an elf to stay, Jinglebellsnowman (my sons idea) arrived tonight, he actually rang the doorbell, and when my son answered he was standing on the mat with a new toy under his arm (we had been to asda earlier and I told my son he couldn't have the toy because it was nearly christmas, but managed to pay for it without him seeing) anyway he was so excited (he's four) he couldn't believe that the elf has come to stay, had a hard time convincing him that when we go to sleep the elf comes alive, and he is only a toy when we are around :j

lol! he will love it... I was a little dubious about doing it for my two.. DS is 3 in feb and DD is 2 is May so was a little concerned they wouldn't quite get it... we started off with little things and they are both waking up looking for the elves!!! they are eating their breakfast to get stickers from the elves.its amazing!!
