Hi All
Otis was busy last night. He was caught in the sweetie drawer (nice piccy of his bum!!!), on dh's ps3 and watching tv. All this when he should have been upstairs asleep. So tonight he will sleep in the disney princess cot!!!!
The kids took him into school to show their teachers and he spent all afternoon helping dd cook red fairy cakes in green cases as they are his favourite colours apparently!!!!!!! :P
I am going to start a scap book for him showing pictures and descriptions of what he is doing (not technical enough for a blog and I want kids to help), then that can come out every year and expand!! Just waiting for paper for the polaroid go thing that dh got me for my birthday but has never been used (at least now I have a use for it!!!!!!!!! :P)0 -
I'm thinking that tonight my elves are going to knock over some icing sugar and make snow angels and lots of mess0

We had an elf arrive by plane. There was a huge crash and DD opened the door to find a pane had landed on the car. In a fantastic co-incidence we managed to get a puncture which DD was convinced Twinkle had done when landing! He got a telling off for that one.
So far he's been in the biscuit tin, after DD thought she'd foiled him by closing the door tightly and wrote a letter to Santa using some of her stickers.
We're blogging here
Thanks for the great ideas so far everyone. sure we can all borrow a few from each other as the days go on. Happy Elfing!0 -
Just wanted to share these pics with you all... not had a chance to update the blog as yet and probably won't be able to for a couple of days. I am going to hospital for a small op (why do they call it that?) and not sure how much or what I am going to be able to do when I eventually get home.
Anyway I uploaded my pics of the fun we had tonight!! ...
Jolly also left the children some presents before we went out, haven't uploaded them yet cause I was saving them for the blogging!
Anyway enjoy your fun over the next couple of days!! .....
P.S Jolly Sugar Socks has done the children a personalised video from santa tonight ready for tomorrow after school/before school if I get the chance so that will be something done ...

Elvis has been climbing in the xmas tree and hiding in the fridge eating choccies. He left a couple of crafty things for the kids this morning. Eva has just finished her fairy for the tree. She was asking a lot of questions yesterday about Elvis and seemed a bit sceptical that he was magic and not just a toy. I think she believes now lol. Will have to think of something else for tomorrows antics.
Ive started a blog but im not very good at them, I want to put it together for the kids though so bear with me .

My dd was also sceptical about elves just being a toy, told her that they are toys when people are around but as they are magic come alive when we are not there. She is def convinced now and is trying hard to catch them.
The elves sneaked out of the dd's beds last night whilst they were sleeping and were no-where to be found this morning. Were eventually found on return from school, watching a nativity dvd with other toys and eating popcorn (having of course spilt lots on carpet!) My youngest started to eat the popcorn only to be told off by eldest as it was the elves popcorn not hers!!!
Have screwed lots of paper into balls (scrap from my husbands work- which the kids know is his) and the elves will be having paper snowball fight tonight in frontroom, and very kindly bringing pizza for tea tomorrow (yummy)(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0 -
My boys have each made beds for Ralph this evening - one for each of their bedrooms. DS1 decorated his with 'games consoles' and even put his mini Spy booklet in for Ralph's bedtime reading tonight.
One of their classmates came up to me outside school and said "***** has told me about the elf that's staying at your house" - in a nudge-nudge, wink-wink kind of way. It was almost as though he didn't believe it!:rolleyes:0 -
Pixie Puckernut has had fun making snowflakes and sticking them on DD window..... piles of chopped up paper but the snowflakes are window clings from £shop ..... very pretty!
She was very careful with the scissors.....Santa says "'Remember 'Elf and Safety at all times!!!!"
Happy mischief making !!
Get well soon Rusty:jPobodys Nerfect:j0 -
I can't believe there are so many people having elves to stay this year. I found this last year and started it then, although friends thought I was mad!
I'm glad this year I've found this forum and can show others I'm not the only one!
Wilf Tinker arrived in our household last night...a day later than planned due to the backlog of toy making in the North Pole!
When I left for work this morning, the girls still hadn't found him...can't wait to get home and start some mischief!!! :j
I've started a blog- first time I've done this, so won't be as good as the rest of yours, don't think I can post a link though.
Look forward to sharing ideas and using yours.....it gets hard keeping this up for 3 weeks!0 -
Last night our little minx wrapped loo roll around the kids tv, around the bottoms of their beds, all around their room and finished under the bed holding the end of the roll!! :rotfl: The kids thought it was hilarious!Win £2012 in 2012 challenge 0/2012

Last night Jinky was very naughty! He used DD's new athletics trophy as a toilet!! Much giggling about that one! I love the snow angels idea...think that might occur tonight!
Hope you're all having fun with your elves!!!0
