    Yes true but in OP's case it is rather strange (or complicated as she put it:rolleyes:) as they are supposedly not a couple anymore but have since concieved another child, so they are obviously enough of a couple to do this

    If that is what is going on, OP is still technically not breaking the law.

    Father of the babies doesnt live there, I thought that people who were claiming benefit and claiming to live alone (with just their kids) are allowed boyfriends to stay over 3 nights a week or something?

    There is no set number of nights; it is based on a number of factors and a couple could feasibly be regarded as a couple for benefit purposes and yet live in separate houses.

    The father is equally responsible and will need to be helping you afford this unexpected baby

    - Well...I know its not the done thing on this Board to do anything other than force the man to be a father - whether he chose to be or no....but fairness compels me to.....

    :confused::lipsrseal

    God - theres a LOT of times when I wish I darn well wish I COULDNT see the mans viewpoint.......but I can...oh well....:cry:

    A - male - friend of mine told me recently about a woman who became pregnant whilst single and said "she says its a donor she found on the Internet". Neither of us believes her - we think she knows exactly who the biological father is - but we both approved of the fact that she is not expecting the man to pay towards this and felt her lie was understandable to save him from having to pay for something that was not his choice - this will ensure that the CSA wont be able to "go after him" - as they dont know just who he is.

    Oh well....I've never done the "done thing" yet.....I'm more concerned with doing the "fair thing".

    So - I'm sorry this has happened. I understand that you are conflicted about it - as you didnt plan for it to happen. I guess you know anyway that the man is only involved if he actually chooses to be - but I felt I really had to risk being flamed (again!.......) - because of the huge "weight of opinion" on this particular Board that goes "make him pay - regardless"....
