Yes I saw that from entitled to.co.uk my tax credits will increase I think my mentality was how do I afford a baby in my current financial situation forgetting that some things will go up. Will definately check out ebay and freecycle though as picked up tonnes of stuff for the first one from thereLoves Cornwall - Hates plastic0 -
If you use the salary sacrifice scheme can you still claim the childcare part of tax credits?Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

entitledto.co.uk has made me feel a lot more positive - darn babiesYes still have moses basket high chair bedding and stuff so that would save a load and I could take ben out of nursery completely or only one day etc. What is a SOA?:rolleyes: She's already stated she works full time on a decent wage, obviously she's just a little shocked and worried right now about the fact she has the mortgage to worry about.
Most women feel a little apprehensive about affording it, in some way or another even if it was planned.
I agree your ex/current/whatever he isshould be paying you some regular maintenance aswell as 'helping out'

Congratulations on the baby and for being so positive while trying to work through complicated situation. We don't all have perfect lives, even though some posters on here would like to try and make you believe they do.
Try and find some car boot sales. They have SO much baby stuff it's unreal. I went to one on Saturday and every stall I went to had baby stuff. Mountains and mountains of baby clothes, changers, cots, prams, toys, baths, sterilisers, blankets, sheets....the list was endless and really cheap."carpe that diem"0 -
