Thank you0 -
I brought 750ml different cleaning sprays (bathroom, surface, multi purpose, windows, washing up liquid etc) and 30 All Purpose cloths.
How long should they normally last? I live in a small 1 bed flat.0 -
I don't think anyone will be able to tell you as it depends on how clean you generally are and how fastidious you are about ensuring your home is clean .
Someone who's a bit sloppy and spills things a lot but is a germophobe and likes to live in a sterile environment will get through the stuff pretty quickly compared to someone who's relatively neat but not that bothered about everything being germ free.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

I'm a bit OCD with cleaning though not to the extent of those people in the c4 programme earlier on this year-still I find modern cleaning products last a long time as they are formulated to be more concentrated than in the past. A good washing up liquid in the larger size of 700-800ml approx would last us 3-4 weeks and we are a family of 7. Toilet cleaner would last around 2 months being used once a week. Cleaning sprays last approx 3-4 months usually. Cloths we use washable microfibre ones and these last at least 3 years. All purpose cleaner in a bottle which we mainly use for floors lasts 1-2 months xx0

As PPs have said it depends on the person.
I think it depends on product selection, brand and size of house/amount of traffic.
If you're looking for cheap an old fashioned bottle of Stardrops, a bottle of cream cleaner and some toilet cleaner will be enough.
On the other hand you could do the route of normal polish, wood polish, electronics polish, steel polish, granite polish - you get the picture.
Find what works for you!0 -

I live on my own in a one bedroom flat and cleaning products last me absolutely ages. I am not a messy person though. I do think it is worth buying a good quality product as it does last longer.
Washing up - I buy Fairy Platinum and it last a few months. I don't always wash up every day (bear in mind I am out most of the time so don't use huge amounts of stuff). I get big multi-packs of washing-up sponges from the pound shop.
Loo - I suppose a bottle of loo cleaner lasts me a month. I do think it's worth buying some of those cleaner block things that go in the cistern. I definitely find it keeps the loo cleaner for longer.
Surface cleaner - lasts me forever. I cannot remember when I bought it. I don't have a huge amounts of surfaces and I do think a little goes a long way.
Floors - I only have one hard floor so just buy a pack of wipes I attach to one of those mop things. They last 6 months at least.
Bathroom - I probably use one bottle a month as my bathroom is quite damp so I need to use a cleaner containing bleach regularly to stop mould growing.
I use paper kitchen towels for everything. I don't have a washing machine so don't really want to use cloths at the moment.0
