Sorry if this the wrong place to post, but I'm new to this sort of thing.
I just got a new blu ray player and some of the stickers were very difficult to remove. When finally off they left glue residue.I read somewhere that nail varnish remover would get it off. After rubbing the affected area with nail varnish remover pads the glue is gone, but the surface of the machine is now sticky and smeared and this residue will not wash off .Any suggestions as to how to make my machine look shiny again.
Many thanks,

I think I would use furniture polish, but sprayed on the cloth first rather than directly onto the machine.

I have some white stains that have developed in the bottom corners of my windows. I've tried limescale treatments but they haven't worked - the 'stains' seem to be inside the glass (if that makes any sense. Posting on the off-chance somebody else has experienced this & if so any tips for getting rid of them?0

Does anyone have any tips for getting black ink out of a carpet? DS decided to fill his ink pen on his bedroom floor ..... He then proceeded to scrub it with kitchen roll so it has beautifully spread. DH then tried putting nail polish remover on it and dabbing but it made no difference. I was out the whole time and not back until it dried, so we havent done anything further. All ideas gratefully received.0
