I mixed some disinfectant and flash floor cleaner together and washed my floor, then read the bottle of the disinfectant and noticed it says not to mix with other chemicals, do I need to re wash my floor or will it be okay? I wasn't going to bother, but then I saw this: http://www.state.nj.us/health/eoh/cehsweb/bleach_fs.pdf and now I'm scared I might kill everyone!

lazy Lizzie, I didn't want to read and run, as i'm no expert.
I would probably rinse the floor but then I have 2 dogs and an 11 month old who crawls over it! I think the biggest danger would have been when you actually mixed the stuff together as any fumes would have been given off then!
For me it would be quicker to mop the floors again, rather than spending twice the time worying about it.
Good luck
WinkyxRight now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -
Yeah I ended up just re washing it in the end. My dog weed on the floor near her bed, so I thought by mixing two things together, it'd make sure the smell of her wee went, I didn't realise it could cause a danger to me and her! Thinking about it, the floor cleaner probably had disinfectant in it anyway so I feel like a bit of wally now!
At least I know now to read bottles of things BEFORE I use them, instead of afterwards!:o

Yeah, reading instructions
It's always a good idea to read those. For cleaning products especially, and appliance manuals

Hi all
I managed to find a feather duster which I will use for the cobwebs (or is there something else I could use?) I am just wondering how I would clean it rather than throwing it away.
Is it a simple soak in fiary up liquid?0 -
Hi everyone this is my first post on this thread, have done a lot of reading and scrubbing but nothing working currently! I have a lot of stains on the bathroom floor - toothpaste, face mask, you name it. Every week I mop the floor but the stains are not going. It is the kind of plasticy dark blue textured floor you see in swimming pool changing rooms (yuk!). I have used bleach (1 cap for 1/2 mop bucket), tesco naturally floor cleaner (2caps) each time it seems to go while the floor is wet then come back when its dry. should i try the famous stardrops? Our house is rented and we dont want to lose the deposit/ruin the floor with chemicals so any help gratefully received.
We are also seeing little grey marks come up on the kitchen worksurface which is made from a kind of laminate mdf looking light wood. The marks come if we leave anything out on the kitchen side. is this something to do with the sealant and should we clean with something like bicarb? thank you0 -

You could ask your local swimming pool to see what they use.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I had a floor like yours and used astonish cleaner (the paste in the tub, from Lakeland) to remove tricky stains. You should test it first in a spot that won't show. If you can't use it on the floor it is great on cooker hobs, sinks etc.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Also good for the white plastic garden furniture - don't need to go to Lakeland though if you have a 99p shop near you! They stock all the Astonish stuff - also 'Easy' made by Jeyes.0 -
Hi everyone,
I've got a baumatic oven with electric elements on the "ceiling" with lots of carbonized burnt on yuk between them. I can't use oven cleaners near the elements. I'm thinking of trying a toothbrush or long handled brush. Any suggestions as to what liquid or cleaning agent to use or of a less time consuming technique please?CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420
