I wash it with soapy water and then leave it to dry delicately propped open on a wooden spoon.0

Is it fabric or nylon? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Warm soapy water and rinse well. If the water is too hot, whatever is in the bag will "cook" into the fabric. This will cause any flavours etc. to be in the bag permanently. If it is nylon, cellophane or polyurethane it could warp the shape of the bag.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I was always taught at cookery lessons to turn the bag inside out, wash up in the usual way, then sort of tent it over a cup or something so that it didnt dry flat.0

Hi
Newbie here (though long-time lurker).
I have some white marks on the inside of my slow cooker pot. I can scratch them off with a knife, but it takes forever and is also scratching the coating off the pot. Soaking in hot water/elbow grease isn't shifting them.
Anyone else had this problem? It seems that gammon is the culprit. I don't think it's a danger to our health, but it doesn't look very nice. Any ideas??0 -
Do you have a dark brown pot? I have a white one which stains quite easily particularly as I make curry quite regularly in it. No amount of elbow grease would shift it, but recently I left it to soak all day with bleach in it, and it came out spotless. Presumably it would lift whatever's in yours as well.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
