Apologies if this has already come up. I have several lego type bath toys that I would like to pass on, but unfortunately they have fairly heavy water stains on them. Apart from soapy water, is there a miracle cure without removing the surface colour?

    Many thanks

    I'd try white vinegar

Not sure if this is in right place, so please feel free to move it.

I have separate microfibre clothes for use in the bathroom/toilet, but the other day when I went to wash them, I popped one of the kitchen ones in as well without thinking. Do you think it would sstill be OK to use this one in the kitchen? They were washed at 60 degrees with non-bio. Just wanted to know if I am being over-cautious, what do you lovely people think?

    Thanks in advance.

    It'll be fine.
    I wouldnt worry about it.
We are far too clean and fussy these days (no offence to you) which is why there are so many bugs about.
We dont build up any resistance to them because we are killing all the good bugs
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

As long as nobody's had any food poisoning or tummy bugs they should be ok, but if you're worried you could soak your kitchen ones in the sink overnight in a mild bleach solution.

I always wash all of my cleaning cloths together (at 40 not 60) and we have never come to any harm.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

  • Hi everyone,

I've a quick request for help... I have a wax table cloth that I've found to have mildew stains on the back (the fabric side). I've tried cleaning it with warm water and washing up liquid, but as I kind of knew, it didn't work... Does anyone here have any ideas on how to get rid of the mildew? It's my own fault, as I left the cloth in the shed folded up after it had been damp - silly silly me. I love the cloth though - it has pretty cupcakes all over it.

Thanks in advance for any help.
