I'd give the chairs a going over with cream cleaner or astonish paste cleaner stuff.

Milton fluid or own brand for chairs. Wash off well afterwards.

I can't help with the TV question, but await the answers with great anticipation as i have this problem too.

As for the garden chairs, I had exactly the same problem after being gifted some on freecycle. After trying everything in the cupboard, there were still all those black spotty marks all over. The answer? Brillo pads (or, obviously the cheapo version!) Works perfectly and they come up as good as new.

I got some grubby white plastic stools looking snow white by scrubing them with a paste made of white vinegar, bicarb, plus a nail brush and lots of elbow grease.

Can't answer those but when I was in the RAF,we used newspaper to dry off windows & mirrors after washing them with soap & water & fag ash mixed with spit to polish brasses!

apparently if you go over the tv, computer monitor etc with a tumble dryer sheet it will help to prevent static and repel dust!
I havn't tried it so can't vouch for the outcome, but as they are meant to help prevent static cling in clothes it kind of makes sense!

Fabric conditioner, used tumble drier sheets for TV. An eraser block like JML eraser ( I got a similar one at home bargains for pennies) for PVC furniture

    lol

Problem was we wore belt's which were whitened with that shoe whitener & polished brass buckles, the trick was to keep the white off the brass & Brasso off the white!
Plus the amount of brasso we went thru on basic was huge!
So the fag ash was the best alternative! Did make your index finger yellow & stink of fags tho!! (I used a condom over my finger to stop that! I kid you not!!!:rotfl:)
