morning all, I'm a bit late today,no new freebies for you, soz, went to one of the T's we use about once a week, went to a lovely sa,and she was telling us that every time they log on to a till there is a message telling them to check moc's carefully cos someone/or ppl have been slipping morrison and safeways mocs thru, very selfish of them to spoil a good tescos for the sake of a few pounds, pink and I had no probs cos as all {I hope}mse'ers we stick to the guide lines. have a good day everyone, and big thanks to those who have found new mocs for us. flower-002.gif

I WENT TO MY NORMAL CA TODAY AS I DO EVERYDAY, AND WAS TOLD IM SORRY I CANT TAKE THE NORMAL 10 MIXED COUPONS AS I ALWAYS DO, IM NOW ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE 1.

I FELT THE BLOOD DRAIN FROM MY FACE IN SHOCK. SO I PAID AND ACCEPTED WHAT SHE SAID.

WHEN I GOT HOME I PHONES THE STORE WHERE I WAS TOLD YOU CAN ONLY USE COUPONS IF YOU BUY THE ITEM, I ASKED THEM TO CHECK AND SHE SAID ITS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY. I DISAGREED AND SAID WELL IVE BEEN USING 10 EVERYDAY WITH PERMISSION UPTIL NOW.SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER THEN COME BACK AND SAID YOUR ONLY ALLOWED TO USE ONE. I THEN QUOTED THE NATIONAL POLICY FOR WHICH SHE SAID YES THATS RIGHT IF YOU BUY 10 ITEMS YOU CAN USE 10 COUPONS.

I WISH THEY WOULD ALL STICK TO THE SAME VERSION OF THE STORY.

    *********************************************
PLUS WHEN I GOT IN THE WIFE SAID THAT THE WASHING MACHINE HAS FINALLY PACKED UP.. WHAT A DAY.. I SUPPOSE IT HAS LASTED 10 YEARS SO CANT COMPLAIN TO MUCH...
OFF TO CURRY'S THIS AFTERNOON TO BY A NEW ONE....GULP:eek:
i'm a little confused...she said thats right you can use 10 coupons...was that with or without buying the product? god they get on my bloody nerves, i wish head office would do some sort of mass coupon education programme for all stores and all members of staff!!! methinks they wouldn't do as it would draw attention to the policy and get more people than ever using/abusing it though/

I think what some stores do (following their own interpretation of the Coupon Policy:p) is allow 1 coupon per item not purchased, ie, if one buys 10 items one will be able to use 10 coupons (for items not bought) and so on... This way the store limits people buying 1 expensive item and pay it all via coupons...;)
  • thats odd. I was in mine last night and used the 6.89 one, the team leader checked through them all and we even chatted about that coupon and that tesco stocked it etc and she put it through no probs. wonder whats going on. what else was on the banned list if you don't mind me asking?? aaaages ago, like 6 months ago, for some reason my local store banned the cif ones that are on the front page here, although i haven't a clue why.
they had about 3 more smart coupons cant remember what items!
  • On the subject of coupons I was thinking that it'd be more profitable for T's (yet, I agree more time consuming for their staff :p:D) if we gave in smaller coupon denominations... so if I gave, say about, 6 of the Pic a Pacs MOCs at 25p each Mr T would make around 12p on top of the coupon value (if the handling fee was about 2p)... on the other hand if I gave a coupon of £1.50 T's would only make an extra 2p...:D so, the more coupons they accept the more they earn on handling fees? And the beauty of this is that Mr T doesn't have to pay any charges to the credit card Companies or the bank lol...:p

Could one of you guys PM me with instructions on the £6.98 one as I need to get the baby of the family a printer for Uni tonight. I tried adding a St Bernard but with no success. Mind you I never got the original coupons as they printed mega large and the barcode wasn't on them.

    Cheers
