smart coupon haven't got the technology to stop it....a more useful email IMHO would be to Pedigree...they used couponnet last year for their £1.50 MOC, which was also very popular;).
It's nice to be nice .....

I WENT TO MY NORMAL CA TODAY AS I DO EVERYDAY, AND WAS TOLD IM SORRY I CANT TAKE THE NORMAL 10 MIXED COUPONS AS I ALWAYS DO, IM NOW ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE 1.

I FELT THE BLOOD DRAIN FROM MY FACE IN SHOCK. SO I PAID AND ACCEPTED WHAT SHE SAID.

WHEN I GOT HOME I PHONES THE STORE WHERE I WAS TOLD YOU CAN ONLY USE COUPONS IF YOU BUY THE ITEM, I ASKED THEM TO CHECK AND SHE SAID ITS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY. I DISAGREED AND SAID WELL IVE BEEN USING 10 EVERYDAY WITH PERMISSION UPTIL NOW.SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER THEN COME BACK AND SAID YOUR ONLY ALLOWED TO USE ONE. I THEN QUOTED THE NATIONAL POLICY FOR WHICH SHE SAID YES THATS RIGHT IF YOU BUY 10 ITEMS YOU CAN USE 10 COUPONS.

I WISH THEY WOULD ALL STICK TO THE SAME VERSION OF THE STORY.

I think they have misinterpreted the paragraph in the policy beginning "For all other branded coupons......." and not read the bit that says you do not have to buy the product. I think when this paragraph is read, the bit that says "you must buy 1 of the relevant product" stands out and they dont really take in the rest of it.

:rotfl:Not as smart as couponnet, who we allow to put tags in our registry, or wherever, and block our machines when they want to;)

Mine mentioned they had a memo around re coupons.... To check them all for dates, fakes etc..........

Mine too. I'm happy for them to do that tho if it means the policy remains and the dodgy moc users are ousted. :D

VC has been having a think about ebay.
A quick uk ebay search of "NSS MOC" offers loads of coupons. You may recall that a thread or two ago I put "adverts" for this thread on ebay.
I advised buyers on ebay NOT to buy coupons but to see what they could get here and on PTS for free.
At that time, we only had couponnet and pdfs and not the readily abusable smart coupons!
On hindsight, that was perhaps a mistake:o, and sent some of the buyers onto here, with a greed as opposed to Money Saving mind-set.
My current thoughts (and this is likely to change with further information....or perhaps even with the weather;):rotfl:) are that ebay has a mixed bag of legitimate/dodgy coupons; and that the legitimate ones, can sometimes be a huge cost saving on time/ink, if got at the right price, but potentially disastrous if they turn out to be copies , with the same PIN being sent to other buyers around the country too.

I must admit to buying some couponnet coupons of e bay and there was no problem with them, when checking the pin no's against the pin no's on the ones I printed they were all different, so it seems there is some good ebay sellers and they are not all scammers.
I know some on here don't agree with buying off e bay, but not all of us have unlimited computers and cannot print lots of couponnet.
With the amount of coupons available diminishing rapidly, by going out of date and not many new ones found, it is difficult to make a decent saving very often without paying out for them and paying 1/3 of the saving price I think is a good deal.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
