littlepink what are you studying at uni if you don't have exams????
You mentioned previously that you hadn't had to sit highers on your access course, only NABS - does that mean that you were studying highers but didn't sit the final exams?
Don't forget that even if you are only in classes a few hours a week, you must have a lot of self-study to do - in my planned degree course I only have 9 hours of lectures a week, but at the moment I'm doing my access course, working 25 hours a week and continuing with my OU studies to make sure I get my place at uni, maybe I should have done the course you did!0 -
I think she did HNC/HND, straight from school.0

It's a confused smiley.
Anyway, yes, third year should be a massive step up from second year, and since you haven't had the experience or the knowledge of university before you will have a mountain to climb.
I'm in my final year and even the jump from third year to fourth year (both honours level) is huge.0 -

Thanks for the smiley explanation.
I often think that the jump from first to second year is the greatest, but I have been out of HE for 10 years, so it may have changed.0 -
no i done 2 highers in school, but they were spanish and french. And ive always been really good at languages. I never really studied for them, but that was back in 2004. And i got B's for them both, Since then ive been in and out of different college courses (more highers, fashion and european business) but dropped out of them all. untill i done my hnd there, and i didnt have exams for that either, it was all coursework.
Im studying International travel and tourism business. We dont have any exams, well this semester anyway. We only do 3 modules (enchanting visitors, Strategic Management and Capable Professional Practice) And none of them have any exams, they are all coursework.
Next semester we pick which modules we want to do, so i dont what the choices are yet.0 -

In an English/Welsh context it would be first-second year. Just because Scotland is four years, so the jump up to proper degree-level work is quite big. Or maybe it's because my university are quite harsh with their marking.0 -
