Cheers :j the raspberry brandy was quite something - I can see why there's so much left :rotfl: 35% proof is way stronger than I'm used to :rotfl:

    That's why I love your diary! :A

I almost bought Baileys for a tenner last week, then thought I'd wait - now it's £15! So I've bought Amaretto instead! :D I'm not really a big drinker, but it's nice for a little Christmas Eve treat to warm the cockles. I'll raise a glass to you all when I have one

PS, I saw the Lunar eclipse this morning - it was very impressive and brightened my day as I got on the motorway to work.

Bother to the price increase, grrr. Raising a glass right backatcha - and thank you for the diary comment :kisses3: You saw the eclipse too! While you were driving? I wonder if it goes quiet like its supposed to during a solar eclipse?
Brilliant! It was too cloudy here, couldn't see anything.

Me neither :rotfl:it was laughably misty!
The only trips allowed around here are holidays . Guilt trips are banned!

oceanspirit, this is brilliant, thank you :j

There was certainly giggling from right in front of the computer screen when I read that, thats great :rotfl:

I'm off to bed soon, I think, taking a good book and *another* cup of tea.... I'm back on the tea, the brandy is definitely special occasion type stuff.

Yep, the spammer struck - been removed now - Ellidee, thanks for catching it first.

No thick head here :D I only ever drink 1 or 2 glasses of anything - can't cope with any more after all those years of too much
I've really hesitated to post today, after the lovely things peeps were saying about the positivity - but the best I can do for positivity today is to use a restrained statement of quite how bad I feel .... I feel dreadful :( actually, I feel a lot better now - my mum's not coming down till after Christmas, I'm staying home, she might stay with me one or two nights that she's down here, and we still have the big do on 2nd January.... And I'm coping with a lurgy. Again. In a house thats still upside down, with Christmas *stuff* strewn everywhere, I hate it. But the thought that I'm released from the obligation to go out and supposedly enjoy myself, making do with sleeping on a sofa when I actually feel like crap, is wonderful.

So thats the reality - "must do" Christmas is cancelled :j:j:j

To be replaced by "I want" Christmas :xmassmile

It will be great to do what you want when you want, no pressure.

I've got the inlaws - when I mentioned we had got a free turkey for us all was "on, so we are invited then" Well seeing as they have been here for lunch almost every year for the last 10 odd years what else could we have done . And they aren't even doing Christmas this year as they aren't in the mood - another .
