How are your Christmas plans coming along, on a day to day level? The local thing makes me think of childhood Christmases - on Boxing Day, we'd always go to my mum's parents in Bootle - all the cousins mucking about in the kitchen, or out the front building a snowman, or out the back looking at the tarworks... good times!
They're not really, and I've given up, it'll sort itself out. We had similar a few years ago, Brother invited us up to his, but I knew that he and SIL were going through a bad patch so wasn't keen. Sister thought we were going there so didn't invite us, and then SIL invited her parents up, so on Christmas morning had no plans. But it ended up great!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Wuite unlike me, I'm joining you - I've a glass of black portent (local wine) in a lovely clay wine goblet - apart from the fact its cold its very like mulled wine.
I never have wine (one of my mad cost cutting exercises) in the house so this is a treat!

That's why I love your diary! :A
Someone was telling me about the Aldi Mulled wine today (or was it Lidl?) Anyway, sounds good and I might try some.
I almost bought Baileys for a tenner last week, then thought I'd wait - now it's £15! So I've bought Amaretto instead!I'm not really a big drinker, but it's nice for a little Christmas Eve treat to warm the cockles. I'll raise a glass to you all when I have one
PS, I saw the Lunar eclipse this morning - it was very impressive and brightened my day as I got on the motorway to work.0 -
