I must admit the pre-plannedness of every day for my family consists of:
    • Eat too much
    • Complain about the crap that's on the telly
Sounds very familiar to me :p

I suppose the logistics of people being where they need to be is what causes the most hassle. I'm fortunate in that I drive, and I also drive in snow - so visiting parents and other people is hopefully not going to be too much of a saga.

Yep! Usually, its just me taking the train north. And then south :D Its a longish stay, but doable. This year we're up and down like bleeping yo yos. And its *long* - 8/13 days are taken up with "must do". I'm bored of hearing myself talk about this ....

Stay calm and listen to your inner Zen. If stuff doesn't happen, then so what? There is alway next time. It's not like Christmas doesn't happen every year.

You know what, each one of us is saying, no, I don't care about Christmas that much ... and all of us are sick, or recovering from something really bad.

Best keep Lulu out of the white powdery stuff or she'll be snorting that too.

There's definitely some up my nose :D

    - light snow
    - heavy rain
    - sleet
    - fog
    - mist
    - white cloud
    - mist
    - grey cloud

At least you're not getting tartan cloud - then you'd know you were in trouble...

So you're all telling each other something...and none of you are listening...

I thought that was good, until I found out they employed Michael Fish...

However, due to the power of T'interweb, leading on from there I did manage to find this little gem. I'm trying to find the original press release, but the Met Office's search facility seems to know what I'm digging for and isn't playing...

I hope so - though at the moment, predicting snow is a rather similar pasttime to shooting fish in a barrel.

Although having said that mind, over the weekend the forecast for my area was "the forecast for your area is uncertain. Please check back later to see if we have updated your forecast."

I chose the non-scientific hippie method of looking out the window to see what the weather was...
