Thanks! I did potter for a bit, and then vowed that as long as I don't have to speak to anybody on the phone, I *will* work on my Christmas cards. And I've found out why its *work* - its not just the lack of flat surfaces, its also that the addresses are everywhere, 3 years of diaries, I don't take a full note of postcodes, I don't cross out old addresses, when I do its in the way of new information. So I'm updating my address book as I go - hopping up and down to the computer to google postcodes and whatnot. I *refuse* to speak to anyone yet about getting addresses - this is *my* day :D I did say I was antisocial :D:D:D

One day, I swear I'm going to be organised and have all the addresses on my computer and print them onto labels. One day....

Hope you got yours done - mine were a dead loss :o

Isn't "rug action" when they wear a wig?

It wasn't too bad, actually, tho some of them were bought for Christmas 09 during January 09, and the glue had gone on the envelopes :rotfl:I refused to go upstairs *again* to get the sellotape :D plus I will have to make those phone calls to get the other addresses. And I've run out of stamps. And there's no time today to go to the post office - I *must* wash my hair before clients arrive, when there's free time the floor layers (please god and all the angels) will be here, and then the last client arrives at 6pm. Of course, if some have to cancel cos of the snow, then all bets are off.

Oh I really hope so - at the moment I'm inching my way around the house because absolutely everything is displaced ... it feels awful, really bad. The office has to be empty, the counselling room has to have just its normal stuff in because I'm working today, so everywhere else is absolutely stuffed - its horrible, and of course I've got stuff everywhere in preparation for Christmas too. All the positivity has drained away this morning, I'm sorry to say. Of course, if the floor layers do arrive, and do help me move the desk in and out, then by the end of today I'll be in seventh heaven, but right now this is a horrible environment to be in.

Don't really want to finish on that note. Anything good? Well, I went a walk yesterday down some new-to-me roads, and when I came back I brushed the snow off a path between the gate and the front door, so all I have to do this morning is salt that. That'll do :o

    Morning KC,

well done for clearing path yesterday; I used my shiny red snow shovel to clear the steps & path on saturday when it stopped snowing. Postie was very appreciative & so was I this morning when I went out to wrestle the wheelie bin open.

Best get on with my ironing now :(
