Thanks Pippi! Let me know the postage, and that will be fantastic, thank you! More intensive use of existing resources - thats what this qualifies as! Saves buying new, hurray, we like that :)

Mind you, I *have* been buying new - exciting things like curtain rails .... a work diary ... bird food and bird food dispenser, and this really jazzy hand made fat ball holder, made of stuff like rope, thats refillable. And a duvet. Now this needs some, erm, excuses. I need a duvet for a single bed - and I wanted it one that I *liked*, rather than one that was "liveable with", if you know what I mean. Could I find any duvet covers in this dratted town? Nope, except the really expensive shop, where a bedframe retails for £300, I'm not kidding! So I finally went there, and found a lovely one. Okay, its £30. And, erm, its king size. But that means it has two pillowcases! Pillowcases are the last thing in the world I need, I have a million, but these match the duvet :D

And I can cut the thing down. I'm such a dab hand at sewing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thank god for wundaweb :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We have hardly any snow here, which surprised me a bit on Wednesday when I was driving home from Shropshire. It has rained today and totally gone.

So what are you going to do with the spare material from the king size duvet? Matching cushions? A table runner for a bedside table? Your crafting skills are definitely improving :D:D You could always use the child's sewing machine.

An interesting question :rotfl: I foresee a window blind, kind of Roman - there's a really nice set of wide Venetian blinds, but no curtains, and no space for any curtains because of the new building work, so a Roman one, which I really like the shape of, would be just right.

And :eek::eek: to using that dratted machine :rotfl:I'll tack it - I can do tacking, and my mum is very proud of how she hardly moves during the night :rotfl:so it'll hold. Its only for four nights right now anyway.

I'm in the middle of making a list - not a daily list, but a list of what needs to be done, and what I'd like to do, before Christmas, and a sublist of what needs to be shopped for.

:eek::eek: is all I can type right now. I'm going to be quite busy. I'm going to be panicking :rotfl:

I'm sure whatever you do will be fine. I *do* sewing, but once tacked up the hem on some curtains and my sister exclaimed "Miss xx would be horrified, those stitches are more than half an inch long!" - sez she who only ever uses iron on stuff.

    And as for the list.....

Good luck KC! :T I did my list yesterday - we're going on holiday two weeks tomorrow (for nearly 3 weeks), when we come back I've got about 2 days to finally run through PhD before submitting to examiner, then I start full time work, and on the Friday of that week, I'm off to see my family for the weekend, so all their presents have to be ready :rotfl:

I sat for an hour last night and made a to do list on every page of my diary for the next two weeks to make sure I don't miss out anything vital! (made me feel organised though! :D) xx

:hello::hello: you two just made me feel loads better, thank you!

But omigod, Cheery, a to-do list for every day for the next two weeks  actually, I need this stuff on one list, which I've prioritised, because then I know what I *must* fit in - my attitude to daily lists is a bit cavalier, it has to be said - but this one has that deadline in that we were talking about, so it helps to see it all on one page. In a manner of speaking :rotfl:

I've just bought the vouchers for my bro and SIL, also the chimney balloon to block up the living room chimney safely, and just done a websearch on how best to wash the summer weight single duvet to put on the single mattress - and guess what came up:

    Morning KC & Crew,

wow you are an active lot :A I'm hoping that reading all your plans will galnvanise me into action soon, I've been panicked into an immoblised state at the moment & the only things that's going to get me to move is the little icon that indicates the lappie battery power is down to 9% ...

*leaps out of bed & rushes to locate power source before suffering the indignity of being cut off*

Dont Panic Mrs KC!!!!! I am sure that whatever you get done will be more than enough for your Mum. I meant to say that I love the photos of your garden. I have garden envy :)

Loving that thread about the duvets KC - I remember another of those a while back which basically turned into a "I wash my bedding more often than you!" competition, and had people claiming to change their bedding on a daily basis! Hilarious stuff!

I get terrible kitchen-envy when I'm doing Avon stuff Cheri - spend a lot of time gazing into people's front rooms/kitchens while they are searching out the book to let me have it back, and some of them are totally envy-inducing!

I was going to suggest keeping the sewing machine too - I think it might come in handy in the new year when you and I are making roman blinds and sharing tips! :D

I need to write a Christmas list too, there *are* people I've forgotten and the clock is ticking

Have a good day and as Gill says - DON'T PANIC!! :)
