Glad you got out & home again safely Karma,
I agree that as long as you're well wrapped up 'tis good to get out in the fresh air & actually see other hoomans gong about their business; all this staying in while maintaining contact via the internet can seem a bit surreal at times.
As much as I think I want to stay in all day, I do go a bit stir crazy after a while

glad you got back safe and well..know the feeling about going stir crazy as starting to feel that way myself.0

Glad you managed to get out. It's nice being out in the fresh air so long as it's dry. I can do cold, but do feel a bit 'old ladyish' because I don't have the confidence to walk in icy conditions.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Exactly! Its good to see hoomans - Taxi, you absolutely must be going stir crazy - its only since Tuesday for me, its ages for you
And yes, I confess, I felt quite old ladyish on the way out, but much more confident on the return trip, that was better.
The white stuff is melting!!! Thank heavens - so I'm going to go into the centre of town today, do some stuff. Its too boring to bother to write down, but all necessary. I'm *so* aware that my mother will be coming to stay on the 27th! Now thats scary - she stayed with me for a few days during the first week I moved in, and she roughed it incredibly, but she hasn't been that well, its cold, its the first Christmas she's *ever* been away from her own home, I don't want her to have to rough it. I think it'll be okay, but there is more sorting needed - and of course, all sorting helps me too, I'm doing my standard thing of using a visit from someone to get me to do stuff

We used to have a dog who got excited when the vacuum came out because she knew we were having visitors

Glad you managed to get out

DT - that's hilarious! We're a bit like that too, and it's just me and DD!! I've got some girly chums coming over on Wednesday night and have started the l-o-n-g process of tidying up the mess, but reckon I'll leave the hoovering til about 5 minutes before they arrive

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thats brilliant!
Erm, what are you doing here? Hopefully you're posting from your blackberry on the train or something.
I'll just make a note here and now that the home made fat balls for the birds need a bit of tweaking. I didn't make them last night, so I put the cheapie lard that was all I remembered to buy in the microwave for 20 seconds, so I could mash the nuts and soaked fruit into it. Big mistake :eek: it stank! I had to open the window to get the smell (and all the nice heat currently wafting about in the kitchen) out :eek: *and* I had to do the washing up straight away :rotfl::eek: .
Then I risked life and limb (again, by mistake) walking underneath my three-foot-long icicles without checking them, put the stuff out, and while I was washing up the crap, a robin popped along! Already! And it completely ignored the dratted preparation :rotfl:it went for the sunflower seeds I'd scattered on the snow on Thursday as an emergency measure

EDIT: Ooops, my screen hadn't refreshed - mean we have snow and rain too!
