  • I think people are not posting cos everyone is really busy.

I haven't been posting much because it feels like a lot of same old also it came to me a few days ago that my diary is supposed to be a debt free diary and my negative wealth is not going anywhere and no prospect of it doing so unless I come up with a master plan. So any spare time I have been spending researching - but at the moment the depressing thing is I am coming up with a big fat zero - even looked at legal jobs last night which would be a last resort and zero zip nada - quite relieved really on that front but still depressing

He spent hours and hours checking the readings on each plug, eventually found the problem, mended all the iffy bits, and now instead of having a circuit, I have two radials - :D I know in detail what that means

Radials are a kind of car tyre...

What it actually means is it's not a loop, and is only connected on one end.

You want to be careful of that. Bloke had that happen on a plane and now he's spending a lot of time in a US prison...

There will be a glut of newbies in the new year, so we need to be ready for that, but until then, they are all still spending on their closetobeingmaxed ccs for Christmas so the amount they owe will be the last thing on their mind.

It is unfortunate that although you can see a traincrash coming, you can do no more than sort out the tourniquets into size order...

Thanks Squizz! Yes, I think its something like that too - there's a real sense in the air of the cold to come ...

Is this real cold or a "London is cut off by 2mm of snow" kind of cold..? ;)

right, action is called for - hot water bottle and a cup of tea, and a quick zhuzz around with the vacuum cleaner while the water's heating :)

And how exactly does one zhuzz? Just remember it's before the watershed... ;)

Legal jobs as opposed to illegal jobs?

The idea is that posting will motivate you into doing things that you may be otherwise tempted into letting slide. Even the prospect of posting has got you looking at legal jobs, so real posting will have you leaping tall buildings in a single bound.

    Or so the theory goes...

Z you have made me smile :D.

We've just lost 3/4 of our income in one meeting but after a few more calls are thinking that it may be for the best and we can relaunch ourselves next year.

We can't speak openly about what has happened until the cheque from them has cleared for what they have owed us for 3 months. Once that is cleared we can then test the water with some new ideas.

That makes a change - normally I make people's eyes pop out.

Its pretty drastic really but we never took out business loans or cards for the business, so although we are both self emp, we could if necessary wind up at the end of the tax year and start something else.

Its just lucky I have MSE and all my friends on here to chat to or ut look for ideas and savings.

My god, that does sound drastic :( Good for you if you can already see a way forward from that kind of news, I think I'd still be in shock.

Zhuzz - technical term, Z! It has to do with, er, tabs and slots :)

DT - I appreciate you're mad busy on the runup to Christmas - I'm not, cos I live alone, and there are no children in the family at the moment (well, a 2 year old I've never met :( but anyway) - do you realise, about the research you're doing, you're not doing it "out loud" on mse? Can I ask why not? It can really help to get other points of view, even at this stage - it certainly helped me when I was deciding *which* town to move to.

Oh dear Pippa, that doesn't sound good, but as Karma says it's good you can see possible ways forward.

And DT - definitely bounce your ideas around on the forum if you feel like it - I can vouch for how helpful it is too!

We are still shocked but know it is not us, its "them". Turns out that some confidential info from another source we got later in the day that "they" won't know about until at least today is going to affect "them" too, so I doubt they will be sitting there so smug today.

Just watching the cheque to make sure it clears, then we can start again.

DT, definately bounce your ideas around, we all come from such varied backgrounds we may be able to help.

KCs talk on foods has got me thinking, I've been eating too many sweets plus with yesterday etc I'm reaching for the bad stuff, not feeling full or healthy, so tea today is fresh veggies. Nom Nom as F_F would say.

    Chin up everyone x

:o Umm thats the depressing bit I don't have any ideas to bounce the research is to try and find ideas and I coming up with nowt if I could find some ideas I would happily bounce:D

I am really impressed Pippajo you sound so confident and positive even in very difficult circumstances:T any tips?
