KC it sounds like a similar bug/virus to the one I caught and OH. I'm still not right (OH too) and it's 3 to 4 weeks later. There are some really nasty ones around this year. Hope you start to feel better soon. I thought the dfw diary threads were quiet today too.

KC - my DS has just had over 2 weeks off school with something that has just drained him, sore throat, headaches, hot, cold, swollen glands, it is that time of year for glandular fever.

I dont feel too cracking but that may be due to this year ending completely pants.

The Drs advice is take it easy, do things in the morning, rest in the afternoon. x

    Enjoy your new, safer home!

It has been very quiet, I agree - mind you, I simply don't feel I have anything constructive to post a lot of the time, and I am sure a lot of us feel the same way - going through a phase of cba!

There will be a glut of newbies in the new year, so we need to be ready for that, but until then, they are all still spending on their closetobeingmaxed ccs for Christmas so the amount they owe will be the last thing on their mind.

((hugs)) to those who are still suffering from the lurgy - I am dosing myself up with vitamins desperately trying to keep it away ahead of moving......!

Have a good one, KC x

Morning all! Its interesting, I think there's lots of reasons for not posting - cba, as Hypno says, Pippi's massively busy, Pippajo and se are like me, still suffering with this lurgy - the new food plan definitely helped the way I felt, even those 4 or 5 days, but I didn't eat terriblywell while the leccy men were here, it was chilly and I didn't even take all my supplements, so I'm not surprised I felt grotty/grottier .... today is back to normal on that, however, and all that needs to be done now is the actual installation of the sanitaryware, then laying the carpet, and a minimal inspection by EDF who were booked but failed to show, and voila, I can sort things ready for Christmas.

The poor leccy men had to empty the understairs cupboard, which had been completely untouched - excellent for me! I've sorted things - I packed very oddly when I was leaving my old house :o and I've found quite a few clothes I just need to take pictures of and I can cut pieces off to make a patchwork hanging some time next year - or use fabric scraps for my christmas cards next year, something like that. I'm heartened at how much less there was under there than I thought - I can just about see how the shape of the downstairs will be now :j

I'm busy *all* afternoon, so mustn't do too much this morning - in fact, I'll probably head back to bed soon. But first, as ever - a canter around the boards :j

  • Hooray, you're back! Sounds like the house is really getting there :)

I've noticed a lot of people are 'quiet' in real life too - I think it's that getting colder/ run up to Christmas sort of time. Personally, I'm knackered and would quite happily sleep for the next few weeks!

Take care of yourself and have a nice relaxing morning x

Thanks Squizz! Yes, I think its something like that too - there's a real sense in the air of the cold to come ... I'm sorry other people are suffering it, but glad its not just me, you know ....

right, action is called for - hot water bottle and a cup of tea, and a quick zhuzz around with the vacuum cleaner while the water's heating :)
