Thanks DT! Thats very cheeryible to see :) Um, the first hour of paid work didn't happen, and my silly mobile let me and my client down, rats. Just done one, one more to go.

The dvd tower is mad as well - I forgot to nail the back section, tho that doesn't seem to be a problem at the mo, but the little corner supports that are supposed to go on the top are downright irritating - I know I haven't assembled it wrongly, because there's a slot for the back support to go in, and thats *at* the back - but the hole thats then supposed to be at the back for the structural support is at the front, grrr. And there's no hole for the thingy that fastens it to the wall - I'll have to get one of the blokes to do that, even tho its jammed between the fridge and a wall, it could be a problem with my mother, at her age she's getting kind of careless.

Right, off to finish the herbalist's questionnaire - I'm trying to keep my sense of priorities alive and healthy.

  • KC - I am sat here trying to visualise your DVD tower without its bits and failing. Glad to see you are prioritising your health.

:rotfl:It looks like a completely normal dvd tower but instead of dvds it has packets of walnuts, or soybeans, or gluten free pasta!

I'm shattered tonight - I had to walk to the main post office to post the form off to the herbalist, and it took ages to fill in anyway - as I'm sitting in my bedroom, I'm going to bed soon :)

There was me thinking you were using a dvd tower for dvds..would never have thought of using it for other storage..you have a good imagination.

hopefully you can get started with the herbalist soon and start to feel better

:D Its just whatever storage I can throw in anywhere :D

Its not very much, actually - those towers have lots of shelves, but of course each one is tiny. But the alternative was having the washing machine trapped and hardly reachable, and I just didn't want to do that.

I am feeling, it has to be said, absolutely horrible. What if I'm like this every winter from now on? I'd do best retiring and going to live in the south of France. Which sounds quite nice, doesn't it.

It's not just you KC. I think it's partially because we didn't have a very good summer, so autumn/winter have come too quickly, and with a vengeance.

Fortunately today the sun is shining here, and it does make a difference. One thing I'm doing is forward planning a holiday somewhere warm next year, so that I feel like I can thaw out :o

I've never been a sun worshipper, so the idea of feeling like I actually need to do this is really strange. I've put it down to a combination of the poor last two summers and getting older making me a bit less resilient and needing to take care of myself a little more.

Are you able to plan a holiday too? Holiday's like this used to be a want, but now they're gradually becoming a need, and so need upping on the financial priority list.

Thanks Ellidee. Just registered, I'll let you know what turns up.

It occurred to me just now :o that one of my other allergies/intolerances is dust .... and since my sister brought the new vacuum cleaner, I haven't used it very much. So I've just done a few bits... I think I probably need to wipe down the window in my bedroom too.
