Hi all! Thank you for all the good wishes - it went really well, the whole time I've been away from mse (erm, 38 hours or so :rotfl:feels like more). The builders have been doing their thing, loo is up, insulation is up in the loft where it should be (there are mice signs ) London was no problem, blathered so much to my partner I didn't even see the turnoff :D hotel was great - felt v swanky, with a sofa in the room as well as the usual, lovely shower in the morning, and breakfast was indeed included. Simple to get to my sister's, and we had a lovely day, pottering about the local town, and then sat around and looked at some pix on the CD I'd brought her, of this year, and of our brother's kids when they were little, it was really nice.

Got home here, and there's absolutely nothing dreadful around, the new build looks spiffy, and there's a *load* of wood that was in the loft thats now outside - some *lovely* wood as well, I think I can do something with that :D I heard the guys talking about "we'll have that" before I left yesterday, but that was before *I'd* seen it :rotfl:

Shutting down now, as I'm pretty tired, and kind of snuffly - back on tomorrow for real.
    xxx

EDIT - Squizz, thanks for the link, I've bookmarked it to look at it properly.

It really will be ideal! Thanks guys - its not *functioning* yet, Taxi, they've just done the studwork - there's plastering, plumbing, and digging up and connecting of drains yet - then I take over and its painting and decorating, a floor layer and an electrician.... step by step, I'll get there :)

However, I've finally come down with the lurgy that everyone else has had - thats what the snuffly last night was, sadly :( hopefully I can keep going the way most people have. I'm going to be careful tho - the way I got so ill last year was by keeping going and dealing with builders etc when I was ill. *Not* going to repeat that - and I have tickets to go back to Liverpool next weekend - I need to be well for that.

Hope the lurgy clears soon and good idea about taking it easy and not trying to do too much whilst ill.
plenty of work to be done then yet on the bathroom but it'll be great when it's done...your house is really coming on now.

Look after yourself, don't try to do it all at once, I know the temptation is great to have it just how you want it, and right now, but its not as if you have a pot of money that will disappear if you don't spend it. Let the builders do their bit and take your time doing your decorating bit.
