Building work sounds good

:hello: Hello
Builders are gone, leaving a pretty .... um, hopper - lots of waste pipes feeding into it - I've been in bed - session tomorrow cancelled, my mum has already accepted the probability that I won't get up to Liverpool this weekend (I sound really bad
) ...
Just been thinking about this in relation to the Mr Big's challenges. The one biggie that I chose to implement in 30 days was to get a spiritual practice going - listening to a meditation cd, **something**, and I haven't done it. But listening to a cd like that is the first thing my mind turns to when I get ill, every time, for years now. And I never keep it going when I (eventually) get well again. I mean, how often does the universe have to tell me?
So I'll make that commitment public on here: every day, I will make time to listen to a CD that I consider to be forwarding my most important aim of committing to a spiritual practice. Even if, on some Fridays, it might only be the 3 minute thing that Mark Williams does, I'll do it. Definite commitment.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Love the little picture!
Right, we'll hold you to that commitment.

You're right ... even the stuff I've been doing recreationwise has been intense - like the weekend before last, Friday evening, all day Saturday, all day Sunday - I'm just not used to that (and I'm not as young as I was!!!).2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hope that you are feeling better soon. it will be a shame for you to miss getting to Liverpool but it will still be there when you are fit enough to take it at full pelt.
Other than the meditation CD what other kind of activities do you have in mind? Tai Chi can be very spiritual I find, and I keep promising myself to take that up again but still not found the time or space or inclination to get it onto my daily agenda. Declaring it on your diary can be a good motivator. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Sorry to hear you're feeling rough again KC - I wonder whether one of the issues might be that you are putting too much pressure on yourself to get better, and thus causing stress which is delaying your recovery? You perhaps need to relax, go with the flow, eat well, drink plenty, vitamin C and Echinacea and all that jazz. Do what you feel like doing, eat what you feel like eating (and when you feel like eating it) and cut yourself some slack! xxx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
