I understand how easy it is put off all the 'socialising cravings' because its so much easier and safer and comfy to stick to the usual routine but then its a viscious circle staying envious of people who have a great social life and knowing that the only thing we an do is take them steps. And you've started to break the cycle xSo glad that you enjoyed last night, and that you can go again!
And as for the trading, well - I just have a feeling that by the end of next month you will be ready to be fully operational and oozing with confidence
Thank you! :kisses3: how lovely to read these posts!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry about the internet connection then...it's awful when they are slow.
Taxi, don't worry, I think I have the answer - I just have to check out dongles :rotfl:irresistible name, dontcha think?
I'm going to post this question on the techie board, but I'll post it here too - does a dongle need to be in a wifi spot, or can you use it anywhere? Can I use it at home? I'll do some research as well - if that works for what I want, then I'll just get an ordinary phone that I can make calls on and text on, thats all I really want.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I think thats true - I'm up for the London mystery shops, and I can *see* them disappearing from the listing each time I change the page for something!
:rotfl::rotfl:Love the idea of visitors powering up torches for you.
I have a dynamo torch from pound shop, and a little wind up one too. Handy to keep around.
I missed that for a bit :rotfl:it does sound "efficient", doesn't it :rotfl:
Glad you took the plunge and went, and that it wasn't all check scarves and cowboy boots.
Yes, yes, and yes!
It's probably too difficult to explain, but what on earth do you do when you are 'trading'; I've read your posts about it before, but it seems a mystery to me.
Oh. Erm, basically its betting whether something is going to go up or down - legally, its betting not trading, if you use a spreadbetting company. But I personally am not "guessing" so much as using trading tools to assess whether its likely to go up or down at any one point - the names of the tools are what sound confusing - candlesticks, Bollinger bands, stochastics, moving averages. If you think its going to go up, you place an up bet - and you close your bet with a down bet, which can also be confusing.... and thats it, really. But when crazy stuff is happening, or even comparatively ordinary news, even at £1 a point you can lose a *lot* of money very, very easily.Oh sounds great - when I go to a gardening club - its the same - I feel like the youngest one there
Very glad you had fun!
I did have fun! I need to know more - thats the problem with having been a dancer, I'm used to a high level of skill and to be bumbling around wrongfooting myself is frustrating - but she's sending me some links (I presume to videos that people have posted online) so we'll see. I love it anyway!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

A mobile dongle is not the same as a wifi dongle. A mobile dongle uses the mobile phone network and needs to have (at least) a mobile phone signal. A wifi dongle uses wifi, and you do need to be within range of a hotspot to use it.Can I use it at home?
If you get a good enough signal - then yes.I'll do some research as well - if that works for what I want, then I'll just get an ordinary phone that I can make calls on and text on, thats all I really want.
If you have a home telephone line, and are not going to use mobile internet, then probably ADSL will be cheaper, faster, more reliable and have a larger download limit.
Mobile internet comes into its own when you either want to become completely mobile, or you don't want a land line."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Now see, I've never been a dancer, have the grace and timing of a pyroclastic flow and would aspire to having two left feet. As opposed to the turnip and walrus I have at the moment...

In the immortal words of that rabbit, whose name I've forgotten, "cool, man".

I'm looking at this because my connection at the moment is *painfully* slow - but I'm also going to be buying a new computer, and that might fix it. But currently a lot of pages are timing out, its so slow to load - even the little extra bit on here of "more smilies" - so maybe it really is just the computer, not the connection. What do you think?
Mobile internet comes into its own when you either want to become completely mobile, or you don't want a land line.
I was thinking that momentary breaks in the landline connection, of 30 seconds or so, could potentially play havoc with my trading - if I can't get out of a trade when my signal says to get out, the potential for loss is quite severe.
I only have phoneline broadband now, there's no cable here, and I'm a little disconcerted by that - but if you're saying that even phone broadband is better than mobile broadband .... then I guess I stick with what works (and buy a bigger computer).2023: the year I get to buy a car0
