There's more info on the oil cleansing method here, it's something I want to try at some point too:

Squizz, rosewater sounds more my sort of thing nowadays, thanks for that. And thanks for the link, se - *very* interested to read that castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties! I love all of this - its very much about taking our power back from consumerism - the ism is important, after all, we're still buying castor oil, olive oil, whatever, but we're buying basics, not the frills. Love it.

El - thanks, I will enjoy! I'll even enjoy the memorial barbecue, I think - after all, all these people are going because they admired my brother in law and want him to be remembered, he worked as a very high level coach, so there'll be that there as well as looking after my sister and her adult kids.

Music magpie - I did find it worth it - that was for 10 CDs, I think, something like that - when I think of the time it takes to list and wrap and send 10 CDs on Amazon or whatever - then, yes, definitely worthwhile.

It really does sound like a lovely thing to do, and it will be good to see how much he was appreciated and admired x

Thanks everyone, i've had a sleep and a bit bland food, feeling bit better.

I used Music Magpie and it was great, they sent you a block of labels so you culd use as many envelopes as needed to get the packages through a normal post box. I probably could have got more selling elsewhere but it was so quick and easy and efficient.

KC - I hope the memorial is a fitting celebration of a wonderful life, enjoy, x

Oh turfy, its not shopping (well, apart from toilet rolls in a small Sainsbury) - we drive up, we park, I go to Sainsbury's for toilet rolls, we do 3 hours work each, we drive home again. Thats it. Its not *London* as such, its the inside of a counselling room :o

Its amazing, isn't it .... he was so quiet about what he did, its a bit of a shock to find it out - my sister knew, of course, but none of the rest of us.

Glad you're feeling a bit better, Pippajo - yep, thats it with music magpie, exactly what I thought.

    Thanks for the memorial wishes.

Today is just getting sorted for the social events this weekend :rotfl: how odd to say that, and not think, ooh, I have to fit that mystery shop in, must remember to send that thing off, must pack that box blah blah - social heaven!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
