My phone line is on the blink at the mo, and its driving me crazy - the engineer is coming on Wednesday, but I just have my mobile at the moment, and for some reason reception is dreadful on that in the house, I've been hanging out of the bedroom window shouting at the top (well, nearly) of my voice. There's half a dozen things I simply can't do because they involve actually talking on the phone.... how dependent are we on our technology? The other thing I can't do is download my holiday photos, there isn't a little box on My Computer where it says there should be, and then when I might have it fixed, the batteries go low, and I've got half a dozen more, and I can't find *any* of them. Not a good technology day!
The list is pretty good, actually - apart from those 3 technology things above, I just have to water the plants (tho it looks like its going to thunder) and put as much rubbish in the bin as I can
Ooh, and I forgot to say - I have 5 bids on weekend stuff at ebay, as well as a couple of watchers! I'm really excited :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Soapnuts are one of those marmite things. I love them because i feel that although they travel a long way etc. there is no packaging, and I throw them in the compost when they're done.
For most washes they are more than enough, but there is also the view that hot water is probably enough anyway. The only difference is DS white shirts, every now and again I use some Vanish or whatever just to brighten them up.
Well done on the ebay stuff.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You sound happy about that, Pippajo :j how lovely to be able to count on your appliances, and get on with living!
I checked out the Curry's website, btw - the sale finishes on the 28th, and the delayed delivery thing is only for items that are out of stock, so I don't seem to be able to combine the two, but prices are good, and when I'm doing serious research I'll check it out, thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback on soapnuts, gill - I'll certainly send off for a sample once I'm in the new house - I feel like the move is so close now, anything that might take the classic "within 28 days", I'm holding off on.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm undecided what to do today. Part of me wants to go into town and get my hair trimmed - I let my layers grow out while I was ill, and I've never had them tidied up. And the other part of me says, well, actually, as long as I throw anti-frizz hair serum all over it (and cut my fringe), it will be fine. I'll still have to walk to the local village, about 15mins away, for some food, but thats okay, and even tho the food is more expensive, there's no bus fare (oh, I'm *so* looking forward to Haywards Heath!).
I'm seeing how it goes, basically - I'll do what I've absolutely got to do first thing, and then see what time I've got left, and decide then. Actually, writing that sentence decides it - no way I've got time to get into town, I'm working at 3... okay, onwards and upwards. Off for a mooch on the diaries while I eat brekkie2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hello allmy list went very well today, because I didn't go to town *or* the local village
soapnuts might do my hair very well - its a bit frizzy at the mo
:o:o and it can't be frizzy this weekend
On the "moving" list: replacing the bathroom hooks, which I've said I'm taking on the fixtures and fittings list - I love those hooks (little chrome fishies). [strike]I need to do at least one job a day - there'll be nothing this weekend[/strike] oh sh*** - not counting this weekend, and the packing day before I move, I have 12 days..... and counting the optional extra of doing my accounts before I move (which is impossible) I have 36 jobs on the list :eek::eek: I'm going to freak, my head will explode, it really won't be pretty
:p:p
Right, off to have my tea and get those little fishies off the walls2023: the year I get to buy a car0
