My new (well, new to me anyway) is also cold feed only, whereas my old one was hot and cold, and is a more eco-friendly model than my old one, so I too am hoping to see a reduction in energy used over the coming months!

Sounds like a nice day where you appreciated the free things in life x
It was, Taxi - I took care not to do too much yesterday, thats part of the new regime - making sure I get some relaxation time at home every week.Hi KC
Been a bit AWOL recently as I;m sure you realise bearing in mind the state of my house when you last visited
I realise it from your absence on here as well! Miss you ......
So pleased to hear the whole house buying/selling transactions are sorting themselves out and keeping fingers and paws crossed there will be no untoward "last minute" shennanigans.
Thank you! I'm dreading any last minute power plays....
Wol is currently creating your very own "KC personal nursery" for cuttings/plants etc for your new garden :j:j
Hurray! :j:j
Really looking forward to seeing you soon as an "ensconced nearest neighbour" :T:T
Blown away (and put to shame) by your activity - please can I have what you;re taking to get me up and running again :rotfl:
Well done Hun - you're doing GRAND :T:)
xxxx
Thanks Wol - I don't *feel* like I do a lot - I feel like I do lots of little things, true, tho they don't bring in huge amounts of money, and I fritter away a lot of other time - thats why I need lists so badlyThe other thing, of course, is that I only need to iron anything about twice a year - I read of people's ironing piles on here, and I know where I get the extra time
well, I'm sitting on a cushion on the floor when I work, ironing wouldn't do much, would it

hi KC, we got the TV on the wall, rearranged a few things and the table which is oak came back out of being stored in bits and we ate tea at it last night which was lovely
You've got one of those massive tv wall things!!!! Cor...
The washing machine was a Beko 7kg, reduced from £300 to £219 in currys. I had honestly thought that my old machine was cold feed only, but when we pulled it out it was hot feed too from my little water tank. This new one is cold only A+A rated so should be a lot more economical. Just waiting for my free elec monitor from eon to find out!
Snuffles are yukky, not really ill but not right. DS is back at school today so should be able to get some work done!
Have a good day x
Will do - hope the snuffles disappear today for good.My new (well, new to me anyway) is also cold feed only, whereas my old one was hot and cold, and is a more eco-friendly model than my old one, so I too am hoping to see a reduction in energy used over the coming months!
Have a good day KC!
I will!
I'm all for eco friendly - I really don't know if the people buying this place are going to want my washing machine and fridge - they're "normal" people, with pretty high standards, and frankly a student wouldn't accept the things I'm using- in fact, the fridge was from freecycle from a student house
:o
Busy dfw day today - posting ebay/amazon parcels, a woman is collecting the double bed I put on freecycle, and I have a phone call mystery shop to do this afternoon. Plus, I have 3.5 hours actual *paid* work today, oops .... and I've played through a fair bit of the bonus, plus the £5 I deposited a couple of days ago. I've certainly played through (and lost) more than I deposited, and even when I tried to withdraw £5 to check, it wouldn't let me. I don't get their withdrawal rules, I really don't. Maybe I *should* send an email2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The new virgin rules sound confusing...
Have a good day x0 -
(((((runs in, chucks out all the furniture apart from a bean bag, followed by the iron and the rest of the ironing pile))))))))
I think you have to email them as they have to remove the £0 payout limit.
Out TV is not big really - well not as big as DH would like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. FIL paid half of it as he comes round to watch the footie so not too bad really.0 -

Ooh! I could cope with doing an email - I just don't want to speak to Live Help, I'm sure they'll tell me offOut TV is not big really - well not as big as DH would like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. FIL paid half of it as he comes round to watch the footie so not too bad really.
:rotfl: mine's too little for me now - it did me for years, but recently I've had to start shuffling my lightweight armchair closer to the screen to be able to watch comfortablymaybe I *do* need glasses, finally!
Freecycler has just picked up the bed - she and her partner didn't look any too impressed, but it *was* free, for heaven's sake, and while its comfortable, its downright old, no two ways about it.
Needed to be doing something, and I'd unearthed another couple of boxes from under that bed, so I've been putting bits on amazon and ebay. Must remember that 100 limit now - I've just been sticking things back on as they expire, I'll have to be a bit more selective about that now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Free is free and they should be grateful. DS's new bed is coming tomorrow - had to order a new one as I need it to last about 8 years and to have good storage plus a desk underneath! His current bed is going to a friend.
Feeling carrpy now, puppy keeps messing, he knows it wrong but can't seem to help it, then the butchers was shut and I really fancied their spicy beef mix to go in a wrap, and then I've found out I've got 2 days to do some work instead of 5 days.
Any tips for stopping time for a bit:eek:
PS I really should stop hijacking your diary0 -
Stopping time.... erm, well, there *was* a university that watched lots of Doctor Who episodes, in case a bright idea had got slipped in from somewhere - anything come to mind from there? Otherwise, I'm afraid its midnight-oil time - but thats *very* short notice, Pippajo - not good at all. Plus how very dare the butcher be shut! Puppies - can't help you there, I'm a cat person after all :rotfl:
Just been out for a whole hour to post 3 ebay/amazon parcels - the post office nearest to me was closed cos of a computer malfunction, so I walked to the next one - I'm just very lucky its within walking distance :j but I was rushing to get there in time, and felt severely overheated in the queue, let us say
Work this evening, the bulk of my work - so I won't be on here much longer, hope everyone has a good evening.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
