Well done KarmaCat it sounds as though you are well and truly on top of things (so you don't need the "Wake Up challenge" that is being run
)

:D:D I think I do need it! But its true, the thought of being out on my ear in 3 months time concentrates the mind wonderfully!

Morning! I don't think I'll be joining the Kick Up thread, not right now, anyway - I'm starting to panic a bit about the move, to be honest - what if everything collapses, what if I spend all this money moving and it doesn't work, blah blah, you should *hear* the inside of my head :eek: on the other hand, no one should, not even me
so I've shushed it. I just went to put the recycling out (more carp out of the way
) and it is a **glorious** day here. And what it made me think of straight away, is that in the new house, I'd be able to sit out for a cup of tea in this weather - here, everything is so awkward and enclosed, its really not possible. So there's the reality of it all too.
Today is about:
- preparing for the surveyor from the council (access to all the rooms in the house, basically :eek:)
- preparing for London work, this is my busy Friday.
- preparing my 2nd ebay sale :T one of those dratted sfx magazines that clutter up my shelves - and posting them both off - I can do that in London, tho if everything else is ready I *might* walk down to the post office here, and get ahead of myself, so to speak.
- throw anything I can think of onto the recycling pile.
My buyer's conveyancer is making a very big deal out of leaving the property rubbish-free - and cutting back the brambles at the top of the garden has yesterday brought me to the area where I laid out a load of bamboo "logs" (six inches in diameter, *big* bamboo :rotfl:) as a kind of mulch. It was the structure of an armchair that never really worked, so I did that rather than put it in the bin or the recycling or freegle, which is what I should have done. So now, it has to go in the bin gradually - first bits are in there, the rest will follow asap. Honestly, this place is revolting :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks El! There are four more items with bids on - and one has two watchers! Realistically, its all going to go for the minimum of 99p, but there's free listing this Sunday, so I *will* put on the signed play by one of the guys in 24, James Morrison - I met him in 1998 or so, at a fan convention in northeast England. Its on Amazon for the lowest price over there of £118, which is crazy, but I didn't want to start a bidding war, so I'll leave it at that over there, and put it on ebay at £50 or something - too low, and people don't believe it.
Off now to do some more tidying - and I have a nasty feeling my boiler's electrics just went kaput, tho it might just be that the water's hot enough..... this never ends, does it?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Deep breath
I can imagine the hundreds of thoughts rushing around at the moment, but it will work out - think how well it's worked out so far x

Thanks Squizz! The council surveyor has just been, and he was absolutely lovely, as promised by our phone conversation - he skirted a few points for me, and was really really helpful. So retrospective permission for the windows, and the tidying up permission for the porch, will be in the post for me next week. I love that surveyor
