:rotfl: Yes I do :rotfl: in spite of the fact that he looked like he should be retired!

By the way - I just checked out moving costs on reallymoving - you can get instant quotes for all sorts of things on there, from local firms. I can't quite believe it, but the top quote was only about £500.... I thought it would be thousands! Are they having me on?

Of course everything is going to go fine for you and you'll love your new house.

Usually removal men come and have a look around then give you a quote..based on how many van loads and how long how far etc.

Thanks Taxi! I remember getting people round to do quotes last time - but you can get preliminary "ball park" quotes online nowadays, tho they're not binding, of course. I've just figured out a more detailed quote from one of the firms, we'll see what that says. One good thing about it, when the surveyor bloke was round here, he said "you look like you're ready to go". Hurray!

Today .... well, it was impossible to post my ebay parcel yesterday, sadly - on a normal London journey, I'd have been able to pop into the post office near where I work, but our journey yesterday was delayed by *four* accidents - never seen that many in one journey, none of them looked life threatening, thankfully, but bad enough. So I have two ebay parcels to post :)

Other than that, I need to water the plants this morning, before it gets too hot, and then hop off to a local town to do a biggish mystery shop at a supermarket - eating food is involved! Means I can also do my shopping while I'm there, I need a few basics, even tho I'm trying to use up the storecupboard. And I could really do with another summerweight fleece or something.

Then I'll stagger back here, input, throw more junk in the rubbish bin, and munch on some pesto :D

Ug, I am *so* tired - the mystery shop took ages - had to walk quite a way to get there, bought a map because my old one doesn't even show the ring road of the town I went to, its so old, and the m/shop was twice the usual length, for *not* twice the usual pay, hey ho. But I can legitimately claim the map on expenses, which is fun, and the bus fare to get there too - I did my own shopping after the m/shop, which pleased me no end. But its been a long old day, no two ways about that, and its *very* hot upstairs :( Plus I must have met half a dozen spiders since I got in at 6.30.... no clue why.

Thankfully, all is done, tho I did guess a bit about what was on the left and right and whatnot - if I don't get paid, I will be having some *severe* words with somebody..... still, I think it'll be okay.

Off to collapse now, with some tatties and another cuppa tea. Night night, all
