You have all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff in your house..lol
Yep!there's some wood up there too, that was there when I arrived, and I'll take it with me - its a picture frame, sort of, but the wood is about a foot wide, it looks brilliant.

Ah yes. We would have been twins then..... at the moment, I'm hobbling about in pain around the house, tho I'm okay when I stride out - my back is *killing* me after doing thatI'm old, y'know
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Just been pottering about on the boards for a little bit - can't concentrate on too much at the moment... for instance, I keep thinking, "I'm so glad the bed went to a freecycler on Monday" - cos thats where the insulation and duvets are now sitting.... and I have some serious paperwork to go over this morning. I'd love to be trading, some classy signals on it all, but its just not possible. Even last night I was still going through some magazines and comics - bit more to throw away, bit more to put on ebay, bit more to the charity shop.
Today:
- the paperwork, I *cannot* delay it any longer.
- phoning a couple of clients who aren't coming at the moment, to tell them about my move.
- post that ebay sale - the guy paid within 12 hours of me actually sending the amended invoice.
- two mystery shops to do, but only email.
- aargh, find an anniversary card for my brother and his wife.
- catch up on note-taking.
Oops .... thats a lot againsome of it is carried over. And I'm desperate to do some weeding in the front garden too, thats totally out of control, the cornfield effect is back :rotfl:

Karma do you 'need' to keep working on the garden now you are leaving? They new owners have seen the garden and still bought so they know what they are getting? I can understand you have to get rid of any waste from the garden but do you need to be weeding and chopping etc? And you have enough to do inside maybe?0

Thats a good question - my thinking is, until contracts are exchanged, its still my responsibility - what if everything went pear shaped on this sale, and they dropped out? New buyers would have to be impressed all over again
Just until exchange, I promise
Mind you, I've done *nothing* this morning except wash the dishes and pack that ebay parcel ready for despatch, I just can't make myself today. I go into the 2nd bedroom and stare at all those bags I brought down yesterday, and walk out again, having done absolutely nothing. I've even had a call from the EA in HH about the survey on the place I'm buying, and I've done nothing about that either..... I've got some paid work at 12.30, and again at 5.30, maybe the first one will get me into gear.... trouble is, the things I've got to do, I've been putting them off for days, none of them are at all pleasant2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Right grab yourself a nice brew and head on and get those pesky jobs done..they won't be as bad as you imagined and they will have been done..you might as well take the bull by the horns as they have to be done.0

Bless you, Taxi, you're right! I had a couple of difficult client-based things, they were okay, and the thing about the survey - turns out there's a piece of paperwork I haven't sent away that I should - I might be able to scan that to save a day, I'll check that now. Its true, its never as bad as you think its going to be
Okay, I've got my 2nd coffee of the day brewing now. Thank you :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Wise words Taxi, I am really trying to live by the "it won't be as bad as you imagine" theory at the moment - got me through an "aargh I've got to walk into a room full of strangers" moment this morning!

Thanks..lol
The way I see it is we might as well get it done as we have to do it anyway!!!....worrying about it isn't productive and wastes time and energy and the damn thing is still to do.
I no longer do stress and just get on with it now...as lifes too short.0 -
So, so true. And you know what - I scanned the signed piece of paper, sent it off, and the survey is with me *now*! There are a few things to be checked before I can go ahead.
I still didn't do the paperwork my conveyancer sent me - just didn't have time after I got my act together - I fiddled, I did the ebay parcel, even did some fresh scans while a client was settling into the counselling room, did the email/scan/thing for the survey, did the phone call, have had a 2nd session, realised I had two mystery thingies to do, and they weren't even printed out. With one of them, it didn't matter, but I haven't finished inputting yet - got some to do still.
Well, its not bad, actually - it could have been a really wasted day, but thanks to Taxi I just about managed to turn it arounderm, I'm supposed to be supporting *you*.
Thank you Taxi :kisses3:
Just got to do that inputting, and phone my mum, and thats it.
