:hello::hello::hello: its very luxurious to relaxez like this !
I still managed to do a few of the jobs I had listed - I even managed to cut back some new growth around the front path, and pull out about a third of the really long grass thats cluttering up the front garden. Not bad. I'm definitely going to go to the south of England show tomorrow, unless its thunderstorm and lightning all day, so won't be doing much then.
The priority now, actually, is to get rid of rubbish, not so much gardening, whether the rubbish is in the loft, the garage or the funny bit thats a cross between the two :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
What about a skip and have done once and for all...or a rubbish removal man....very liberating.
It's a pain now I can't throwas much rubbish away now because the bins are only emptied every 2 weeks..lol ..used to be great when you could throw anything out with the rubbish....
I love recycling what I can.0 -
It may come to that actually Taxi, I've been wondering - I need to get rid of my mattress, for sure. But a skip costs about £170, and I'd rather do without it if i can, to be honest. Cheapskate, thats me2023: the year I get to buy a car0

That's expensive..they are about £85 here.0

 north .... south ..... sigh .... it took me a while before I realised that people on national pay scales (unlike thee and me, Taxi!) have it a lot better in the north - the quality of life is often higher than the south, less densely populated and all that, with city centres that are the equal of almost anything the south has to offer, and the cost of living is *so* much lower. I see it in Liverpool all the time.
Oh well.
Off to Bedfordshire now - tho I'm a bit hungry, I need something first!

Karma our local council have a 'bulky household waste collection service' and they remove so many items for a small fee, do you know if your council offer anything similar? Might be worth checking the webiste if you are struggling to get rid of things.0

I agree things are loads cheaper here...
Have a good sleep and have a good day tomorrow.0 -

Stupid question here - is there local rehoming/homeless projects near you - they might want a mattress for folks getting houses and needing furniture? I'm sure you've explored the possibilities - just sprung (:D) to mind after we had to 'rehome' a fridge/cooker/bed when OH was doing up his house.
We rang them (I think eventually we used the Bethany Trust but there were a few rehoming/restart charities locally to speak too) and they picked up the stuff at a predetermined time and it went to be sorted and rehomed to a family going into a new place with no money.
? (Its free - and free is good!!!)?
Off to read back and find out you've already done something - KM (waves hello) our local council do something similar as well although they charge now (£15?) cheaper than a skip as well - and then the stuff gets rehomed to the local 'restart' project if its any good - part of the councils remit for recycling I think.
Sorry not been on much - jump in far sooner than reading back
No patience see!!
Oh and good morning!!
Things cheaper in the north - yup see that when I go 'south' () - the extreme north is odd - somethings alot cheaper (insurance and alike, good local food, renting, land etc) but somethings more expensive (petrol, furniture, bulky things need to come by ferry adds a cost etc) I often wonder if things balance out?
I know this is a bit sad but I've often wondered 'pound for pound' if I take my low fully comp car insurance etc, lower garage costs and added the higher petrol costs up here - would I just be the 'same' off as other folks with access to cheaper things but with increased crime etc? (sorry I've gone off on a tangent on your diary!):rotfl:
Skip about £50 ish here - :cool:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0
